I was crazy about Boxing for nearly three decades but it’s different now. It’s just not the same anymore bruh! Everything about the sport has regressed and it no longer boils my blood. I will always be into Boxing but at the moment, the passion no longer there. Like I wont be missing any more weddings for Boxing events, that’s for sure.

Baseball is nuts man with so much variables. The unpredictability level is even higher than Boxing as anything goes. Anything can happen and it’s never over till the bottom of the 9th inning. The worst team in MLB can beat the best team on any given night.

MLB is on the up and up right now broski. The Yankees have been so profitable lately as they’ve been printing money literally.

All sports are run by at least semi competent group of people.
That is not the case with boxing.
Boxers are doing what they are allowed to do.
    Been this way since forever.

As a matter fact, boxing and baseball were the pinnacle of sports back in the day.
There are many sports for many people from all walks of life to choose from. They watch whatever they prefer.
This constant need of wanting people all over the world to focus on just boxing is senseless.
I watch Fury vs Usyk live, for instance, and when I check other channels people watching football live far outnumber the ones in the Fury/Usyk.
Then there's tennis, volleyball, cricket, etc. also going on at the same time live. They all couldn't care less about boxing. It is what it is.

        Baseball > Boxing
You are right. This video is more than 20 years old.

          Past the golden age? yes
          Actually dying? no.

          That applies to both sports.

HBO was instrumental in building new stars before they went to PPV. Boxing After Dark and many Saturday showcase fights are how many people got to know many big names as they were coming up.

Now these guys get thrown on PPV before anyone cares about them and then wonder why 90% of these fights bomb.

Back in the day a fight like Crawford/Spence would have done big PPV numbers because casuals would have seen these guys for years on HBO and it would have meant more. The fight did ok but not enough to justify both of their paydays. It’s why we aren’t getting a rematch. Haymon took a bath on the first fight.

Anybody who has baseball as a preferred sport over boxing is questionable. Baseball is boring af 99 percent of the time.
How do you make such a broad statement? People have their preferences. Baseball is an awesome sport, if you appreciate what’s going on. You can say the same about almost anything.

USA cricket team beat Pakistan this week in Texas. Would be interesting to see some past-prime baseball players switch to cricket.
