The only numbers that are disclosed are those on the scale before the rehydration so they will always be around 15lbs short of the actual fight weight in standard weight cutting practices. That every athlete engages in except for Floyd apparently, according to you.

That was in 2003, the Cotto fight is in 2012. Question remains of at what time they where weighed again ? Early in the day or 5 minutes before the fight ? Those things matter as well.

The question is for you to put up one shred of evidence that shows Floyd is 165 from fight videos where the commentators tell his fight night weight to actual snippets of records like in here., you cant because its BS so you throw logic out and run with your nothing assumption that's what you always do, the evidence is scattered all over you just got to find it, you can't find anything that says 160 plus anything.

Victor Ortiz was right before Cotto.

Floyd Mayweather Junior VS Victor Ortiz - Contested at Welterweight
          Mayweather: 150
          Ortiz: 164

Still there is zero evidence of a commissioned weight check like the one they did for Devin Haney and his 25lbs cut.

Speaking of zero evidence what do you have stating Floyd is 165, Id say thats the definition of zero.

No it’s based on an eye test between 154lbs Floyd and 140lbs Haney who rehydrated to 165 lbs.

Based on your eye test lol Floyd is 165 all these years and yet you cannot produce a shred of evidence anywhere to support that claim, well fancy that lol. Does this theory of yours mean all guys that weighin at 140 are 165 fightnight because Haney did, you need to go back to logic it operates around facts thats why logic pretty much always prevails.

If we had a magic crystal ball that knew all the answers , I would bet my life Floyd was never over 155 in a professional fight on fight night thats how sure I am on this, you wouldnt bet 100 dollars on Floyd being 165, Ive noted and heard all the numbers across Floyds 20 yr career because I follow their weights closely, my posts reflect that, and I know what Floyds weight is, if you want to be living proof that you dont need a long neck to be a goose go it for mate .

Haney doesn’t strike me as a 165 guy AT ALL so if he is, as documented by the commission on fight day I think you are underestimating to what lengths fighters go through to be a certain weight on the scales. Those commissioned weigh ins were never a thing back in the day, it was just rumours into what narrative fits best.

Human physiology doesn't work like that. The smaller a fighter or any athlete is, the higher their power-to-weight ratio will be. That's why the 5lb weight difference between a flyweight and a bantamweight, if they are roughly equal in ability and both come in their divisional weight limits, would give a significant advantage to the bigger man. But at HW, a 5lb weight difference is insignificant.

The same thing applies to all living creatures. Scientist have calculated that if a flea and an ant were the same weight as the average human, and their power-to-weight ratios didn't change, the flea would be able to jump over the Empire State Building and the ant would be able to pick up an oak tree and carry it for miles.
