We were killing you anyways in 89, and Karl Malone come on now that was not the issue with why we won in 04 (although overall Lakers issues played a huge role in why we won, it was not Malones injury).

2000-2002 were against bum ass teams although the western conference finals were tough tests, in the 80's the Lakers had their best run against the best. Before 1980 though the LA Lakers were the poster child in the NBA for being great but never really comming through in the final. Orlando Magic in 09 c'mon man they were like the David Diaz of NBA title contenders.
