Let's Settle This Once And For All, Why Does Mayweather Have So Many Haters?

I did not mean all people. Some. Especially with Arturo "Thunder" Gatti now dead, I've talked to a few that scrutinize that fight and how Floyd hit him that one time when Gatti was clearly not engaged and talking to the ref. Floyd was within his rights to hit Gatti there, but they think it wasn't honorable, and so on.

I think as far as internet message boards go, a lot of the "haters" regardless of fan base, just enjoy posting some inane **** to get a reaction. For the internet, that's nothing new.

This is the fight game, it's not ballet. Gatti made a mistake and Mayweather capitalized on it. I'd expect nothing less from a champion like Mayweather and Arturo would've done the same thing if the roles were reversed. Whoever was offended by that is obviously too sensitive for the sport of boxing. Next time you talk to them maybe you should recommend badminton or something a little less confrontational.

I can't believe I am actually taking a point against Floyd, I'm usually defending him, but one can fight with honor. True, it puts that person at a disadvantage against a more ruthless opponent, but its within the realm of possibility.

-- I don't hate pbf but under no delusion, he has not faced WW contenders for some time now. Under JWW division, he already proves he is the best. That was a very long time ago don't you think? I'm waiting to see if he can prove it still. Even just 3 of the top 5 contenders. And no, I don't really care about his money or attitude or those trivial little things outside of the ring. It's good for laugh/rumors/casual talk but nothing more than that.
