    • Another thread about this???? wtf man , Roach is scared as hell , I have changed my mind more from Pac completely destroying cotto to Pac not being able to take a flush left hook.!!! i think Roach is doing the same here , I think he just realized Manny is not fighting De la Oldie , or No defense hit me hatton , He is fighting arguably the top ww , and for a fact the most exciting one. I dont care who wins cuz I apreciate both fighters, I just want to see this fight. They are doing a great promo job with the game contest and the faceoff and all that. I am rooting for Cotto tho

Even if I were to concede that he is a dirty fighter when he gets in trouble - which I don't agree with - then you would have to concede that because of the constant headbutting Clottey is a dirty fighter whether he is ahead or in trouble. Both headbutting (intentional) and low blows (intentional) are penalities that have to be controlled by the ref and should lead to warnings, point deductions, and possible DQs.

I wonder what got Clottey so frustrated that he was constantly and intentionally headbutting and rubbing his head at Cotto's face when they were holding? Oh yeah, the nasty cut that Clottey opened up and Cotto chose to fight through when he could have easily told the Dr. he could not see and have the fight stopped in the seventh when he was way ahead in the cards.

I think he is referring to DLH people. Cotto will not be drained for this fight, he will only have to come in only one pound lower than what he weighted in for in the Clottey fight.

            • Lets also not forget the body slam Cotto did on Clottey.

He did for one of the low blows...One was a real (and nasty) low blow. In the other won Cotto clearly hit him in the lower hip and Judah went on an acting trip.

Yeah, and like I said ealier there is a precedent and a context. He bodyslammed Urkal as well. In both cases Cotto was angry that the the opponent kept coming in with their head, intentionally headbutting, and rubbing their head in the wound they themselves opened up and he got fed up. Cotto gets pissed about that ****. Is it kind of dirty? Maybe, but so were the actions of the other fighters that precipitated Cotto's response.

Point is this is boxing and these things happen all the time. Doesn't mean that Cotto is a dirty fighter or a cheater.

                  • God I wish there were a lot more boxers posting on these forums and a lot less 'fan-only' members. Maybe then more people would know what they are talking about. These guys sit here and vehemently debate issues like weight and power when they probably have guts that stick out over there belts because the only fight they've ever been in happened in an online forum.

                    • The end of PAc

Roach got the ring size he wanted, the wight he wanted, the venue he wanted, the money he wanted, a rematch if pacmans loses wich is something that bob arum has always been against immidiate rematches, he is getting the judges he wanted and know he wants to choose the ref too?. I hope that cotto does come in top shape and beats Pac but I'm sure that they wil have an excuse too
