This guy is just looking for excuses for when his fighter get KO. Miguel is a body puncher, some low blows may be going on when the opponent is crouching a lot. Zab try to take away his body punches by pretending to have been hit hard low. The way i see it is that Rouch is just taking so that the referee do what he want.

That over rated trainer Roach is at it again. He is worried now, because he knows Cotto is a excellent body puncher and i gurarantee you that Manny can't take his bodyshots. Cotto should ask that they both be tested for steroids. That will shut Freddie Roach up quickly believe me. hahaha

Of course that doesn't mean he can beat Cotto, but you can't say that performance was completely irrelevant. It proved that he's a legitimate elite Junior Welterweight - which was in doubt before that fight. And it proved that he hadn't lost any of his speed or power as a result of moving up to Junior Welterweight. And one weight class isn't a huge jump. It's not even a proper weight class (as in the original eight). It's not like Armstrong weighing 133lb when he won the Welterweight title. It's only a jump from Junior Welterweight to Welterweight. And it's not even that, because it's at catchweight..
Rubbish. He was taken to the depths by Torres. He also struggled for the first half of the Judah fight. And he'll be facing a style he's never faced before.
Mosley is very fast and very powerful, but doesn't have Pacquiao's lateral movement or footwork. And he wasn't at his best the night he fought Cotto, in the opinion of most people. And Judah is simply not in Pacquiao's class.

his options were to even the handicaps, to win a technical decision, or to lose
i don't know if he did it on purpose, but clottey definitely deserved more than a tackle/slip

Originally posted by rao007 View PostBut Mosley has hand speed and Judah has good overall footwork. What did Cotto do? He used constant pressure and timing to neutralize all of that.
Also, Pacquiao has the advantage of a better corner. In his last three fights he's had the perfect game plan for every fight, and has executed it perfectly; and his game plan has been different in every fight compared to the previous one. He's also improved a lot in the last two years.
That's not true of Cotto. His gameplan was completely wrong against Margarito. And his weaknesses (refusal to clinch, vulnerability to the uppercut) haven't noticeably improved in recent fights.
