HAHA Clottey couldnt get out of the corner without taking heat so he tried jumping his way out and it didnt benefit him whatsoever. Cotto just shed Clottey off not slam hi intentionally

Excellent post Icata. It's not about Roach changing the rules,it's about a known cheater following the rules.Miguel Cotto is a good fighter, but also a known cheater. He's not ashamed of it either. That's not an honorable way to win a fight. That's not an honorable champion period.Fans should be offended when their favorite fighter has to cheat to win.- A classic example to me is Lennox Lewis vs Bruno & Grant. In the Bruno fight Lewis was allowed to post the guy w one arm & hit with the other! And win w that bullcrap!!CLEARLY CHEATING!-In the Grant fight, ref Mercante allowed Lewis to hit & hold til he got Grant w an illegal uppercut!!!Folks that's not boxing or great skill. Its CHEATING damnit!!!Boxers need to be called out on their crap. This is a sport not the street.Lastly,I hate when commentators keep saying "rough house tackticks" as if that's just part of the rules of the sport. No its still just cheating!!!!!

I was there as well, he threw Cottley down for the same reason he threw Urkal down (and I was there for that one as well): Both were doing their best Holyfield interpretations and headbutting his cut and Cotto always reacts angrily to that and responds by trying to show who the stronger man is.

Cotto is not a dirty fighter per se, he's just a brawler.

With Margo he was too busy trying to avoid getting battered later in the fight and earlier he was winning the rounds.

I think theres no need to worry in this fight about low blows he will just suplex Pacman if he gets in trouble.

Nope. Cheating is what Margarito did (as well as criminal) and what Mosley and Vargas once did when they used steroids. Fighting rough is not actual cheating because you do get penalized for it, hence point deductions or DQs. Under your definition going in with your head (like Clottey did, and like Holyfield always did) is also cheating and that is incorrect. What we can agree on is that the Ref has to be prepared to warn and deduct whenever those kinds of PENALTIES - which is what they actually are - occurr.

What about the time that Cotto intentionally hit Clottey in the back of the head during the last round? Hell, Margarito was the one who got low blowed by Clottey, and he still beat him more decisively than Cotto did.
