I really think someone like Freddie Roach or even Ben Davison would be great to help him leverage his strengths more effectively.

Glad Fundora was able to show its what you do AFTER taking an L that matters. I hate how fickle boxing fans are in writing off fighters and how promoters and sanctioning bodies kill careers by using it to justify their avoided match ups.

Fundora too definitely needs change of trainers. He has eyesight issues which is supposedly why he fights close but now his awkwardness is cracked in 2 fights he is vulnerable if he keeps fighting same one dimensional way.
Exactly, as soon as a fighter gets his first loss he is denounced as just being 'protected' or a 'fraud', and yet we wonder why so many fighters refuse to take risks. Then again, how many here were angry about Spence possibly getting a title shot after taking an L

Tim will also gain fans from that. Clips will go viral.

He's the blood and guts warrior. Casuals lap that stuff up.

He might actually do well out of it. But he needs, and I think deserves, a big fight next. I'd like the rematch.

Tim Cheatham Drops the Ball Again. The guy can not be trusted. Time after time he is the weakest link. yet he keeps on getting high profiles assignments, that’s unfair to boxers and fans. We all saw a hard-fought bloody battle filled with guts and drama. It was close yes. But we all saw Sebastian edging Tim 7 rounds to 5. Even a draw could have been understood. But Tim Cheatham scored wrong, once again. Til when the people who assigns judges are going to keep on doing this to all of us. Boxing is a family. Tim Cheatham Hurts our family. The guy does not have the gift of being a world class judge. He does NOT. Please NSAC, Assign someone else. Someone with a proven record. We, fans, can not handle this anymore. Even Tim Tazyu said that it was not his night, accepting the L is a beautiful, inspiring manner. This is nuts. Truly, the guy does not have the gift. He has been assigned hundreds of times and he hasn’t got any better. He does does not have that gift, and boxing deserves better.

Jeez there are some tools on this site.
I called for an upset; if I were to bet on Tim winning, that would have been 5-6 hundred just to win a hundo and with fundora it a hundo would have fetched 4 hundred at least. Tim was looking way past him leading up to this

A fighter with a weird size and style like Fundy is a trap as a late replacement.

Fundy has the height of Lennox Lewis.

Timmy was training to fight a guy being smaller than him.

Fundy always train to fight smaller fighters...

Two things I learned today: 1. Tim has gotten a lot better even after the cut I can see he’s up his levels and not as green. 2. Fundora new style mixed with his old would be a major problem. Fundora has a chopping, downhill style similar to a Matias but after that KO from Mendoza he’s fighting from outside. During the Tim fight at spots he went back to his old style and that was a problem. If Fundora can mix it up and stay on the outside then come in like an avalanche he’s going to be a problem for anybody. That Lubin fight was brutal but had he fought on the outside a bit it would have been criminal. 6’6 it’s just not common.
I like Tim now and think this lost doesn’t really do much as I think he will present questions for any boxer in top 10 BUT he’s style won’t work against Crawford and maybe not Spence(I have to see what he’s like after that lost to Crawford and eye surgery). Tim fights like Spence somewhat but I don’t think he’s better than Spence at being Spence. I also think Adames would have been a problem for Tszyu.

When he did land some hard right hands, Fundora stood up to them and came back with his own shots. It wasn't a dominant performance by either fighter. Fundora fought smart by keeping Tsyzu on the outside the whole fight. There should be a mandatory rematch but Tsyzu didn't put one in the contract. I don't think Fundora will hold those titles long. The other big boys at 154 are probably licking their chops. Spence will stop Fundora easily.
utter garbage. Spence sucks against southpaws as Crawford demonstrated in his last fight. Fundora stops spence. Smaller, older, slower and more battle worn that Tyszu, coming off a complete beat down and moving up to a division where they punch significantly harder. Can’t see Spence even making a dent at 154, he’s done. Whatever he had left was taken from him by Crawford. No coming back from that. First fight against anyone good he’ll retire. Just after one last payday.

Tyszu was unlucky. Had he not run into that elbow the fight would definitely have taken a different trajectory. Impossible to say if Fundora would still have got into his rhythm or whether Tim would’ve continued the pattern of the first 2 rounds. But it would’ve been different. Tyszu should now go after that other belt as by the time Fundora has finished with Spence and Crawford has finished with Fundora, someone will be looking to make history and become undisputed.

Admirable that both boxers went the distance but still thought Tszyu would win.

What a bloody fight, one of the bloodiest I can recall. Fundora did it, he is the new champion.

It was very close, but I think he edged it, though didn't score it round by round while watching.

Tszyu has a big heart, also a warrior, as is Fundora. I don't understand the challenge of Spence, as a rematch here is more warranted.
