Seems like they only enforce them if Canelo tells them to. He's defended against WBC mandatory Yildirim and WBO mandatory Ryder. Don't ask me how either got that position though. And the WBO president said that GGG also counted as WBO mandatory. But he hasn't defended the WBA ever, and Morrell is over 3 years deep. He hasn't defended the IBF, and they're usually good about calling mandatories.

He's being honest with his demands but it's maybe something that will stay around and haunt him.

Last time someone tried to enforce a mando on Canelo, he dropped the belt.

He will be waiting for one of those Saudis to pony up the money.

Hopefully Munguia can beat Canelo in May and beat him again in the September rematch so we can be done with this diva who seems to think we should be grateful that he’s still fighting.

There’s no way for the incels to dress this one up, it’s a blatant out and out duck and it’s due to a yellow streak a mile long. Canelo is a scared fighter. He is scared of a real challenge and scared of losing again. He has proven that he has no interest in avenging losses, he wants no part of Bivol either at light heavy or super middle. It took him years to fight golovkin, he waited until age chipped away at him, and now he has given a ridiculous price to fight Benavidez which he knows won’t be met. If I were Benevidez I would adopt a Cassius Clay strategy and follow Canelo everywhere and call him out for the yellow coward he is. “Face of boxing” my Lilly white arse.

if May/Pac could generate similar amounts 10 years ago and without current inflation, absolutely no reason Canelo/Benavidez can't ask for and get similar.
May vs Pac generated $100 million in total. Alvarez stated he wants that much for himself. Even if the Saudis did offer it to him, then what would Benavidez demand? No matter how rich the Saudis are, I doubt they're going to put up more money for an event than they can get a reasonable profit from. For Canelo to make comments like Benavidez has done nothing to deserve the fight and that he brings nothing to the table, yet demand this astronomical amount to fight him, is ridiculous. I don't think he'd make the fight with David Benavidez for ANY amount of money, because he doesn't want to lose his undisputed SMW title before he retires.

May vs pac sold over 4 mil ppv’s at around $100 a buy. No way canelo does anywhere near that. He hasn’t even sold 1 mil in 6 years. Canelo’s most recent bouncing between Dazn and PBC and back again was because he wanted his 35 mil guarantee and they know that he wasn’t worth that unless he was fighting Benavidez or Crawford. No way that fight is worth anywhere close to giving canelo 150-200 mil. He’s ducking. Accept it.

Canelo fans have tried to blame everyone else for this fight not happening. He’s now made it clear that it’s 100% him who doesn’t want the fight and is being a coward. The idiot fan base will still try to find ways to justify it but deep in their hearts, they know the truth. Their hero is a b***ch.
