why he holding out you ask? Idk? Maybe a fight of that magnitude or that demand, he’s holding out for a sh.it ton of money. Much like many others have held out over the years. People acting like holdouts don’t happen when it took Floyd/Pac, Bivol/Beterbiev, Spence/Crawford all 5-6 years to make and they only got made because someone offered them a sh.it ton of money.

He has failed to even negotiate for a Benavidez fight. That is what you do if you want more money. Canelo was already offered 55m plus PPV for Benavidez, which would be his biggest ever purse. You must really enjoy living in an alternate reality.

I get the sentiment, but Benavidez hasn't even established himself as a great.

Also, Canelo's willingness to fight GGG, Lara, and Bivol should grant him a lot of leeway in terms of legacy fights.

Hagler fought HOFamers like hearns SRL Duran and mugabi that’s 4 elite level HOFame level fights and opposition in which he went 3-1. Lil g on the other hand has fought ONE current or future HOFamer and went 0-1-2 against him. Just think about that. He in his whole career only ever even tried to fight ONE elite fighter.
