strange how you framed it as ggg wasting away when it was canelo who was wasting his career fighting bums. not ggg. after becoming wbc mandatory ggg fought jacobs who was #2, lemiuex who was #3, murray who was #5. canelo after becoming wbc champ fought unranked amir khan, unranked chavez jr and 8th ranked 154 pounder liam smith. ggg tried to fight canelo and when canelo ducked he simply moved on to the next guy, thats not wasting away. he even made big offers to guys like quillin, saunders, and more so he clearly was not resting on his laurels like canelo.

It's interesting how fighters, critics and fans will minimize canelo's career down to one person and act like if he doesn't fight them he is not an all time great. Let's put some of that critique on benavidez and ask him why he doesn't hold any version of the 168 belts right now (drugs and missing weight). I mean Benavidez could be fighting 3 or 4 times a year but he doesn't and he is only 27 years old, but he is going to move up to 175 and fight someone beterbiev concussed 5 years ago and was thought to have blood on the brain...you tell me who should be criticize more?

I'll say canelo. He have said he is the best boxer, he's the face of boxing, definately canelo because he is the one avoiding benavidez, and fighting the UK tour. Oh, find one elite guy in his prime that canelo fought and won, without controversy.

if you just look at boxrec ward has a pretty impressive resume, if you watch the fights though...my god what a sh-it fest. its like watching a snuff film or something. should be illegal. i mean it is illegal but they let it happen so i guess that makes it legal?

GGG,Mosley and mayweather lol. And downplayed charlo, Saunders, and plant like they’re str8 bums which is not true those 3 are/were top 2 or 3 in their division at the time they fought canelo. Plant is actually benevidezs best opponent/win in his whole career and you clown canelo for fighting him a year and half before Benny did lol. Like cmon man. I think he should fight Benny but I’m not blind to the fact benevidez ain’t really the monster people think he is. Got dropped and lost to Gavril a few fights ago people that think he’ll wash canelo and he’s ducking Benny are dreaming benevidez has done nothing to make anyone with a brain think canelo or any other elite fighter should be scared of him

Lara and Trout were two guys not known for being punchers. Cotto was old and past his prime. So was Mosley. GGG waited for years to fight Canelo. They tried to age him out, and he still made Canelo run in their 1st fight. Tell me canelo didnt lose their 1st fight? And got his eye busted open late in their 2nd fight. In Mayweather again he felt he wasn't a pumcher and it was a big payday for him so he felt no threat either way. It was a win win for canelo even if he lost. Saunders and Plant weren't known as punchers so he calculated this is low risk. And it allowed him to make some money while avoiding Benavidez. Bivol was a miscalculation. Canelo though Bivol wasn't a puncher and that he'd mostly run. He saw him as easier than Benavidez and it was a cherry pick from hell. And he got his face punched for 12 long rounds. His whole career was one big calculated strategic chess move.

a few fights ago? 6 and a half years ago and 10 fights ago. oh yeah and he was 20 at the time. about the same age as when canelo almost got ko'd against cotto's brother. does canelo suck because that happened?

canelo is clearly scared of benavidez you cant dispute that. facts show that. he literally just left pbc to avoid him and hes made excuse after excuse to not fight him. just because you dont think benavidez is good because you make your decisions based on 6 and a half year old data, doenst mean canelo does the same. canelo knows its a tough fight and a fight where he could get ko'd. thats not something he wants to experience. it would shatter his fake invincibility egomania aura. and he cant wait till hes 36 like he did to beat ggg.

they scrutinize ggg because canelo ducked him? i dont know what you are saying i truly cant follow it. you think ggg wasted his career waiting for canelo or something akin to that but i've just shown you how he continually fought good opposition even while waiting for canelo so what you are saying doenst make a lick of sense. he fought often and he fought most of the top guys, while the other guys refused to fight him. what more could he do? i really dont get it.

im making canelo and floyd bigger by pointing out they are ducking guys? ok i guess but the alternative is to ignore the ducking and then they will simply go away? no more floyd and canelo? lol
