I was mistaken. I didnt think Benevidez was actually SIGNED to PBC, I thought Sampson just worked with them on a fight-by-fight basis......

What is it about Benavidez that makes Canelo not want to fight him?

I don’t think Benavidez is so dominant that he would be favored to beat Canelo. Don’t understand this.

Canelo-PBC contract was for Jermell - Jermall - Spence. After Jermell stunk out the place, Haymon tried to cut the money for the Jermall fight. Haymon also wanted to change opponent for the 3rd fight, offering a Benevidez fight when he doesnt even have Benevidez under contract. Cant dangle opponents that you dont have promotional rights to......
        How do you know this?

Those 3 dudes all fight below 168. Odd to sign the 168lb champ and all 3 opponents are below 168.

Plans often change as you are aware. Spence lost and MW Charlo looked weak against Benavidez Jr. coming up from WW. JMW Charlo basically just took a check.

Reasonable to want to have the 2 best 168lbers fight each other, right?

I think there is more to it than that... I think pro PBC guys are trying to put a spin on it...

Canelo has to want the fight for it to happen. If not it doesn't matter who he signs with. So far he has shown no interest in fighting Benavidez who has been his mandatory for 3 years. That includes Canelo's time with DAZN.

He doesn't. One Punch likes to throw out false narratives and pretend they are facts.

Haymon works with Benavidez. You should stop throwing out BS and hoping it sticks.

That sounds just about right. Uncle Al gets larger % cut from his main fighters. I don't think he cares too much about the Benavidez fight....It's not his own money that is on the line. It's investors'. He gets his cut whatever the outcome of the fight is, whether it's box office hit or not.

he will fight benavidez ON HIS TIME!! just like how floyd fans backed floyd up and said the same thing about how floyd will fight pac when floyd wants too! and that nobody is gonna forced floyd to do it... why ya mad at canelo now? canelo is at the point where he calls the shot so he's not gonna let someone dictate to him who he has to fight and when.

a-side mentality!! you should know this, floyd did it for half of his career!!! canelo right now feels like he's the face of boxing.. he calls the shot... he's not gonna let someone tell him who he has to fight and when.
