          That's certainly a plausible story.

Of course, why else would Canelo leave PBC, Heaven forbid he has to face his mandatory going on almost 3 years

The face of boxing is a coward

Benavidez is canelos Margarito. Canelo fans will eventually say he was never good when he loses ans canelo got nothing from fighting him

There's a part of the article that's being left out, a detail which demonstrates PBC's incompetence: Benavidez was supposedly not part of the original agreement. PBC didn't actually prioritize the match-up; they just wanted to have Canelo on their platform so they could start playing the name association game. Supposedly Benavidez has one fight left on his contract....if true, he needs to start shopping around for a new promoter/network. PBC was gonna let Canelo milk their budget dry, without even agreeing to fight one of their upcoming stars.

It is what it is. I never thought Clenelo was all that great, just good enough to be a first ballot HOF and currently has the best resume in the sports, but in terms of actual ability in the ring, he’s not all that. There’s always an upside to everything, this will force other guys(Bud, etc) who were waiting for the “Canelo sweepstakes” to step up and challenge each other.
