David is likely done at 168 unless its vs Canelo. He will prob lose his ranking and belt there at the end of the year anyway. IF canelo is ever forced by the WBC to fight or vacate he will just vacate and job done. That fight is GONE.

Why is it a good fight? Because he went life and death with Derevyanchenko? Because he beat Ryder? He's got power and a chin at least. I will say it would be entertaining to watch him vs Berlanga or Mbilli, and I think he gets wrecked by Morrell, let alone Benavidez or Alvarez, but it will be all action until then. Well pretty clear PBC didn’t have the money to make the benevidez fight. Reynoso alluded to that in his interview when he said they needed to get things in order for the fight to happen. Sucks for boxing in general

My original comment was in response to the idea that Canelo will fight 4-5 more years, and would continue avoiding Benavidez for that period of time.

Canelo avoided him because everyone allowed him to. Canelo relinquished his A-side status and went to PBC to relieve Plant of his title to become Undisputed. After that, PBC lost their leverage over Canelo. This new agreement was Canelo's way of pillaging PBC's budget, trying to see how far he can fxck them over...so he can remind them who the A-Side is.

It’s been widely reported that canelo was only interested in charlo, and no way canelo warrants 35 mil for that fight. Canelo has turned down multiple offers for more than 35 mil to face Benavidez I don’t know how blatant Canelo’s ducking needs to be, but it seems like in order for canelo fans to truly believe that he’s ducking, is to watch him standing in a puddle of his own urine and admit that he’s petrified of Benavidez. He’s done everything but that to know the truth.
