Never in my 60+years of watching boxing, I have seen something like we're witnessing now. A blatant duck from a guy that considers himself and the media as the face of boxing. Plain and simple he refuses to take a risk and his followers are condoning this behavior, trying to defend him with the most ****** excuses. What a shame and a way to close a career. You're right about the money, but money has nothing to with the fight, canelo wants a drunken inactive fighter one division below, and haymon doesn't want to pay for a fight that's going to fail in the return. He knows benavidez vs canelo is going to bring all the money, once he mentioned the kid, that was the deal breaker.
