Nothing to look forward to in this division to say the least.

Yep, unfortunately. Part-time boxing is huge in America nowadays.

Crawford has the titles, but he seeingly won't be defending them. This division is suffering from consistent inactivity from its contenders. It's easy for them to go 6+ months without a fight.

Welterweight and middleweight are dead divisions.

            140, 154, 168 and 175 are good divisions now.

Seven months since his last fight and still no fight announced. Seven wasteful months. If he fights in May, that'll be almost a year in between fights.
These guys starting to make 7 figures in the upper echelons of the division and now they don’t want to fight anymore. Boots was never anything good in the first place.

An the only reason they fought was Ugas beat Pacquiao and retired him. And than Spence beat Ugas.

If 46 old Pacquiao was still active, both of them would be calling him out rather than fighting each other.

7+ months has become normal these days. It's becoming longer and longer. Crawford, Spence, Ennis, Adames, Frank Martin, Tank Wahid, Wilder, Lee, Charlo bros, Stanionis, Crowley, etc.

I could understand if fighters are having grueling bouts, but they will have a tune-up....then become inactive...then tune-up or significant match-up....rinse/repeat. It's truly frustrating. It's hard to develop an affinity for a boxer if they don't fight!
