You said it yourself there - big differences between the sports.

McGregor had an iron chin in MMA before he stepped in with medium punching Mayweather.....

Look at the number of deaths that occur in boxing compare to MMA. Being hit to the head constantly is a big difference.

      He has good stamina

      He's in phenomenal physical shape.

He is confident and comes to win with a warriors mentality.

He's not "around 100 in the world"

Tony Yoka is ranked #27 in the world and Ngannou would beat the absoloutle **** out of him.
All those attributes and he is in 10 round spectacle fights Not working his way up how a real contender would.....Very Jake Paul. Not taking any actual risks.

I will say I have actually changed my mind on Ngannou now. I think he is a lot better in boxing than I thought. And you are right - he is huge. But boxing is still boxing. Nagnnou will only ever win against a top boxer by KO.

Maybe he (Nagnnou) wins but Yoka could box rings round him if he chooses. If you put Ngannou in the Olympics now - is he really going to win bronze??

I like the thread. All important fights are preceded by argumentative, divergent opinions.

My prediction? Francis Ngannou folds up like a beach chair in 8 rounds of being outclassed.

Levels to this game; and we have CHAMPION Tyson Fury to thank for placing doubt in the minds of the casuals; by playing with Ngannou at 280 lbs, thus making this walk-over match possible.

          Lol.....true

all logic says that AJ should be able to win and by KO but AJ has folded mentally before so there is that chance. If he tries to box AJ its over, he has to just go for broke and pressure him.
            i agree here

When was Conor known for having an iron chin? and it wasnt his chin that failed him in the Floyd fight, it was his cardio, which was already known to be ****. He never went to the canvas.

Yes I agree the volume of punches to the head results in more deaths. I dont think that really says much about chins though. You play out the same fight under MMA rules and the same fighters would get stopped a lot quicker just because of the nature of the sport. Wilder/Fury 1 and 3 for example would have been over in the early rounds.

The ref saved Connor from going down but no doubt he was going down, and Floyd gave him 25lbs in weight which is huge, to be honest Id like to see how a prime elite boxer would go in the cage with a 40 yr retired great with a 25lb weight advantage to the boxer, I don't think the boxer would lose under those conditions.

who cares these articles are ***ing pointless, oh lets see what the CEO who has financial incentive to sell as many tickets as possible has to say.... did you really think he is going to say he sees AJ outboxing him winning in a mediocre decision? of course not he is going to sell the fight so what.
