Unless you're suggesting that Teo deserved a 12-0 shutout against Sandor Martin and Regis Prograis beat Devin Haney.

That's the problem with that "give to the aggressor" logic.

Ring generalship matters. If you nullify the opponent to where they can't do anything, you're the ring general. It's that guy's job to adjust strategy to stop that from happening.

O'Shaquie Foster is a great example, I've covered him multiple times. He coasts the vast majority of the fight, then when he gets clipped, that's when he steps it up.

These fighters need to learn to put a stamp on EVERY round and stop half-assing. That's what got Loma an L against Teo and Haney, too.
Prograis got slapped upside down and hurt several times against haney

I can't remember the sandor martin fight personally and cba looking back at it

I did say they have to dominate the round on the backfoot or at least win it super clear with effective punches

Neither fighter threw many if any effective punches the other night so id gibe it to the guy going forward considering the punches landed was pretty much equal

No man alive can cut off the ring against someone who runs just away. As far as boring and kills the sport, yes, it's just like the wrestling leg humpers in the UFC. They were very effective. And it ******. The blue line trap in hockey had to be eliminated. In basketball, teams just held the ball until the clock ran down until they made the shot clock. All these things were unbeatable sure, but it loses fans who dont want to watch that dreck.

Ok, fair enough. The universe demands the full spectrum of opinion.

Perfectly said. Just because Tim Bradley scoffed at Teo's inability to corral Ortiz doesn't mean he, or anyone else for that matter, could have done much better. Jamaine Ortiz is a world class boxer who has been coached to be even more defensive/elusive by Cuban trainers (the best in the world at it), so nobody is going to catch this guy consistently if he doesn't want to engage; especially in a big ring. Teo has trouble against slick boxers, as many fighters do, but that doesn't mean he isn't a legitimate P4P talent.

You make it sound so simple, SweetP.
