We knew it was coming and what he would say. He also couldn't help but lie at the end, I mean it's Bob Arum: "[...] he wasn't landing any punches, Teofimo was landing occasional punches". Most people would say the opposite happened.

...oh wait, you mean Ortiz OUTLANDED Teofimo? Whaaaa??? HOW can that happen if all he did was run???
You’re one of those fans who believes compubox more than your own eyes, huh? Ortiz didn’t land 20 punches, much less 80.

No. Most people who saw the fight would NOT say that.

How delusional are you?? LOLLL maybe if you say it out loud 100 times you can revise history and make Ortiz performance reminiscent of William Zepeda SMH

I dare anyone to go and count 80 landed shots on Teo hahahaha it’s a reason those “stats” are not officially recognized.. those numbers are very reminiscent of the Olympic scoring system, this is professionally boxing.. hurting your opponent and seeking to do damage actually matters on this stage

I agree with the Bobfather on this one.

Fights like Lopez / Ortiz and Stevenson / DLS hurt the sport of boxing.

And I put the blame on Shakur and Ortiz for the most part.

              And to think.
I called up a few of my friends to tell them to tune in hoping to turn a Casual into a boxing fan.

One of my buddies actually said to me " that's why I watch UFC instead of boxing "

What could I say to him ?

They were saying that in the fight thread. A lot had Ortiz winning. It's an observation, not an opinion.

This article is a very good summary of why CompuBox is flawed.

I had no horse in this race so I don't care who won. You sound agitated. Ortiz landed a few punches here and there, "occasional punches". Lopez was missing badly. He won rounds because he was coming forward while Ortiz was too negative.

He killed his career. He had 1 shot and no one will now miss him.
