Whatever the case you can YouTube that too. But this goes back even further then the second Vargas fight it goes back almost 10 years ago when Floyd was at 130 and Shane at 135 and Mayweather said he wanted Shane and Shane’s dad Jack said they would fight him for 8 figures when Shane was making low 7 figures and I mean low 7 figures. What does that say to you?

To me when you purposely price yourself out of a fight by that kind of a margin it means I thing: your scared and don’t want the fight.

Mosley can say whatever he wants to the mainstream public but true boxing fans know what it is; he is at the end of his career and he needs Mayweather to make the kind of payday he has craved his entire career only problem is where was he when Mayweather and himself were young and Floyd wanted that same chance?

But now its ok to call a guy out and spread lies to the public and tell which bits and pieces of the truth that you feel necessary to make a fight happen."

      • 2006: MOSLEY TOOTH-ACHE PROBLEMS

it was odd that Mosley would wave off a potential bout with Mayweather back in 2006 after he had defeated Fernando Vargas for the second time. The fighter was asked about the possibility of taking on Mayweather by HBO’s Larry Merchant and Shane, rather oddly, began complaining about a loose tooth and said he would take some time off. Mayweather instead took on Carlos Baldomir, winning a boring unanimous decision and then signed on for a mega-fight with Oscar De La Hoya which he won, again by decision.

Mosley, who had been riding high on the wave of success the Vargas fights had provided for him, was suddenly on the outside looking in. And for a while it looked as though he would suffer from being under the au****es of Golden Boy Promotions rather than benefit from it. He didn’t fight again for seven months until he dropped down from the junior middleweight division to welterweight and took on Luis Collazo in February of this year. He won a clear cut decision but in the build up to De La Hoya – Mayweather he again seemed to be out of the loop.

2006:I’ve been chasing Shane Mosley for ten years.

“The Pretty Boy” told the New York Times after Mosley had destroyed Vargas for a second time that, “He earned the right to fight me by getting that spectacular knockout, but I’ve been chasing Shane Mosley for ten years. But I got to talk to Jin (Mosley’s wife) because she runs the show. We can make the fight happen but she’s the boss of that household.”

Floyd doesn't plan to fight until the Spring. Trust that Floyd won't take a "stay-busy" fight. He just came off a 21 month layoff and was sharp as heck, so he knows he doesn't need to "stay busy". And if you look at his history before the layoff, he was only fighting 2x/year.

With that said, Floyd knows that he is the prettiest girl at the dance. Why should he commit to the math club geek early in the evening? FMJ is going to play coy and listen to all offers. And then he is going to end up with the quarterback. He'll sit back, and see how Nov 14 plays out. That fight won't outsell his. And maybe he sees how the Dec/Jan fights play out. Then he makes a date for the Spring.
PBF knows that Arum must approach him regarding a fight. I won't even discuss with anyone who tells me there is a bigger fight for Pac than either

          Mayweather-Pacquiao
          or
          Mayweather-Mosley.

So, if Pac wants to go fight Marquez 3 for a fraction of the money, go ahead. If Pac wants to fight a bigger Mosley for less money, have at it.

The one thing Floyd is confident of is that he can get eight figure paydays. FMJ made $10 mil to fight Baldomir, and $15 mil to fight Marquez. Annd he wasn't in nearly as good a position.

...you seriously think Floyd is worried? LOL
well said with no hate towards anyone.

Andre berto? He is hardly a top PPV fighter. As much as i respect floyds skills inside the ring, outside the ring he's a complete clown!
then why does Mosley want to fight Berto?

                      FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR:
On Mosley, first off, coming from a known steroid user he ain't even allowed to open his mouth about me. When it comes to money, he really ought to shut his mouth up. I made more money in 2007 than he has in his whole. Him saying we could make money together is ignorant. And that was just two fights. When I say he ain't no PPV attraction, that's a fact not an opinion. He ain't never been able to take his career to the next level and when I wanted to fight his punk a$$ he had a toothache. Those are the facts, next question."
