Probably the most sensible route for him, right now even if he does look the part he hasn't done enough at least in my mind to demand a fight with the highest rated contender. A couple of impressive wins against unbeaten contenders and prospects would do it.

I don't think so, those will be padding record opponents. Aidos could have wipe them out too, he was young and undefeated and he was in the fight. Morrell Jr vs plant should be better.

Morrell just needs to keep active and keep beating people. Eventually he will get some fringe contenders in there with him and will atart getting those bigger names.

The extra time developing only works out better for him as well in the end. I see a lot of upside with Morrell.

Let me go back in time? How many prospects did canelo fought? Morell jr in 10 fights has fought 2. I'm pretty sure he would take the fight if nothing bigger comes along.
