WOW! I think it would be a good fight! You think Ray can take him?

His pure boxing ability ain't the prettiest to watch for the supposed boxing "fans", but he is a textbook boxer of the highest degree. Any fighter that fights Stevenson knows exactly what he is and what he does so it's on them to find ways and make adjustments to negate all that. They just can't do it bc, like him or not, he's just that good. Skills pay the bills all day.
They all know he will run and put a stinker and would want the bigger purse. Bad for him, he will struggle to get an opponent and also to sell tickets, less pay. People don't want to see a scared FIGHTER, not tag artist.

I met Raymond in Indio. Guy is dead serious. Calm and collective.

Might need watch a bit more of GRJ bc dude is one of the most gifted fighters in the sport. His desire to be active and drive to be great is what's nowhere to be found. That's exactly why he gets knocked for doing all the talking he does. He fights once a year and against mandatories that everybody knows have little to no chance against him. That doesn't move anybody. Only has himself to blame. Hard to see what a guy is truly capable of doing when he ain't out doing his thing against the best.

My man, I can only do so much. I just try to speak facts based off of visual proof, but they don't wanna hear that. They wanna see fights, not boxing. Cats needa get their feelings with these boxers and just support the best fighting the best. Not every fight is gonna be a barnburner like everybody wants, but it doesn't change what you see in the ring. At the end of the day, it's a business first.

It is business first, but I did very much dislike Shakurs last performance and that’s style in general. Yeah it may get him the win but at what cost, it’s going to hurt his business but hey that’s all him.

I agree. That's something he's gonna hafta deal with if he ain't getting in the position that he should be as a star in the sport. He is a P4P talent no question, but if wants to make big bread in the sport he's gonna hafta find a way to be dominant and appeal to the masses who criticize his pure boxing style. So far he's half way there. Still got a long career to go, so only time will tell.

Yessir, def has the talent, maybe I’m being too harsh. He did have what seemed to be a strong fast fighter in front after all and, no one likes getting punched in the face, but at the same time can’t talk all that talk and then fail to perform. If I were team shakur I’d demand an immediate rematch and handle biz, clean up that mess of a night he had. Maybe it was just an off night, happens to the best of them

I agree with most of this. De Los Santos is a dangerous guy who will be a problem for anybody he fights in their division. IMO, he needs to take his belt, forget that fight and move on to bigger things. A rematch is high-risk no-reward now that he got belt. People have short memories nowadays anyway. If he looks impressive in his next fight, the fans criticizing him now will jump right back on the bandwagon and praise him. Unless they're a face-first brawler like a Margarito, Provodnikov, etc., as you stated, every fighter at some point has a fight or a few that people will criticize and doubt them for. Just comes with the territory of being elite at your craft.

Shakur will fight again? It's a waste of everyone's time just to see him run again in the ring.
