Shakur turned it down. It was all over social media claiming a duck.

Spence was the one who ducked Ennis. He hadn't fulfilled his ibf mando for how long?

Bud had the belt for what 3 or 4 months and they stripped him knowing there was a rematch clause he is obligated to fulfill.

Good for you though, your email champ is now the Ibf champ of a barren division. 154 is hot, 140 is hot. You and the rest of the Ennis cheerleading fanclub can watch him fight another 31 cans or weak ibf contenders lol.

Crawford has never defended his IBF title. He won it three months ago, if that's what you meant.

So he’s supposed to tell the IBF no?
The negativity here is staggering. Blame the IBF, not Boots

This is such nonsense. I'm all for mandatory challengers getting their shot at a title in a reasonable amount of time but the IBF knows Bud is contractually obligated to give Spence the rematch even if most people assume it won't be competitive. WTF is Bud supposed to do? He literally has to fight Spence again since Spence activated the rematch clause or he's in breach of contract. What a ridiculous move. Giving the belt to someone who didn't actually earn it in the ring is worse than making a mandatory challenger wait or take step aside money so 2 title holders can unify or fight to become undisputed.

"Woke"? I'm really tired of people using that term in a blanketed general statement to describe anything they don't agree with. I don't care what term you use to describe the WBC's stance on fighters from Russia, if disallowing Bivol to fight because of Russia's invasion of Ukraine is considered "woke" they should go back to sleep because they're in dreamland. ***** is a POS but that doesn't mean every athlete in Russia should be punished.

Crawford is the one whose camp said that he would require 147 so Spence couldn’t show up. NSB said the weight is totally Crawford’s call.

He could have fought Boots, he didn’t want it. Which is fine, he should have vacated.

I'm all for dogging belt groups all day every day, but this seems fine to me. I don't think belt groups should be making moves based on deals fighters/promoters/platforms make.

And at the end of the day Bud is still #1 at 147 regardless of how many belts he has so who gaf if he gots 3 or 4 belts?

This same thing is likely to happen when Fury vs Usyk 2 happens so get used to it. These agreed to rematches up front shouldn't be holding up a division.

This. Boots has a career & plenty other guys in other divisions do too. Lets keep it moving.

And randomly Adames should have a belt right now too instead of Mall sitting on his 160 belt. More belt groups need to be making this type of move.
