But, winky defense is more stand in front of you with the turtle shell defense. And, that is easy work for Paul. But, against a southpaw that can move. I don't know.
Other than Quintana, what southpaws have given Williams trouble? I mean, I really can't think of any. He hasn't really fought any worth mentioning. Based on one fight, I don't think you can really say he struggles with southpaws.

If Williams beats Pavlik and then goes to 147 to fight any WW what would be wrong with it? He can actually make the weight. Like you said Pavlik is too big to make 147. But, apparently Williams is not if he can still get that low. So I disagree with your whole opinion.

If Kelly Pavlik had any class what so ever then he would knock this goofy bastard out.Paul Williams is an overrated fighter who got tooled buy Carlos Quintana and his greatest win being over a 37 year old Winky Wright who hadn't fought in two years.
Piss dub claims everybody is ducking him yet Clottey calls this goof out and Williams wants nothing to do with him.
Most avoided my arse, actually prove something before making such claims.

Williams is just unique and can take off alot of weight and put it back on with no ill effects seemingly. He is lucky enough to be able to exploit the rules and isn't breaking any but still it doesn't change the fact that he is naturally bigger than all of the WWs.
Another advocate of the "Williams is CHEATING by fighting at 147!" line of thinking. Good to know.

fist you focus about getting fans, THEN you focus about the money. the guy's so worried about the money that he's had 2 belts and still has no fans
and yeah, i focus on that because every fighter that he's mentioned has 500 times more drawing power than williams. cotto made more or less the same money fighting clottey than fighting jennings. is jennings on clottey's or william's level? no. is he on their level in terms of drawing power? absolutely, they all draw nothing, so why would floyd fight williams for lets say 10 million when he can make 100 million with de la hoya and even about 40 with marquez?
it'll never happen if he doesn't focus on building a fanbase, and jumping in and out of weights won't help his cause. he needs to campaign somewhere and defend his belt. maybe he doesn't agree with that, but hey, that's what the rest of the top dogs are doing and they're making millions between them
I understand what you saying about the drawing power. But, that still does not take away the threat that Paul Williams is at 147. You can not say you are the best if you do not fight the best out there. You can say you the bigger draw. But, you can not say you the best. That is my whole argument can't nobody say they are best if they don't fight the best. How can you disagree with that?
Again, After the first fight with Margarito he try to unify with Cintron. That is the right step to cleaning out the division right? Cintron pulls out. He fights Quintan losses and wins the rematch. Margarito beats Cotto. Williams offers Margarito 4 million to fight. Margarito highest payday. Margarito turns it down and fights Mosley for 2 million less? Wait I thought it was all about money?
Honestly the best thing for the sport is the best fight the best. That is how it use to be and that is how it should be.

His biggest win is Margarito, who Shane is claiming his victory over makes him the best Welterweight in the world. So what does that make Paul?

if you're inactive, you lose the right to be ranked. if you move up, you lose that right too. williams is not one of the best at 147 current;y. he doesn't have a belt, nor title defenses. if he wants to make a claim, he has to go down, get a belt, and defend it multiple times like every champion does
boxing is about fighting the best in an ideal world, not in the real world, where boxing's a business. he needs to have something to offer to the cash cows. he's a high risk, extremely low reward fighter. if he has a belt and some success in defending it, it'd be a whole different story i believe

Gotta luv Pwill. Dude is all heart. But I don't see him goin past MW. No real point to even stayin there beyond Pavlik cuz there'd be nothin else to do after winnin the world title. I hope he goes back down to JMW after Pavlik, win lose or draw. Only Martinez there can threaten him imo, and I'd still pick him to win a UD. If he could make WW comfortably gr8, but by now I don't see that **** happenin. Even if he did, nobody there would fight him except Clottey, who's movin up himself.

If Paul wants to stay on a winning streek, he better stay away from Floyd. I see another Chico RIP fight. Quin kept moving, holding, hitting PW from different angels and counter punching PW. The start of the second fight, he was able to do the same thing but was getting caught because PW was sitting down on his punches instead of bending over. How you beat a hight work rate puncher. The same way PW beat Rito. Shane, and PW beat Rito by keeping him off balance, on the defense end, angels and movement. PBF is hell in the pockett. Get in the pockett, and smother PW punches or try to counter him. After the Quin fight, PW started sitting down on him punches instead of bending over. Same problem Pavlik has. PBF rolls punches, slip punches, accurate, defense and counter puncher with good stamina. I see another boxing lession for PW you ask me.
