People love to **** on Iran Barkley's record, but if he retired after the Toney fight he'd be 32-9-0 insead of 43-19-1

went 1-7-1 in his last 9 fights, and the win was against someone 6-21

            Chop Chop Corley.

On September 15, 2006 Corley fought Junior Witter for a vacant WBC title and lost a 12 round decision.

At this point Corley's record was 31-5-1 with the losses coming to Junior Witter, Miguel Cotto, Floyd Mayweather, Zab Judah, and one split decision way back when he was a prospect. He had wins over Randall Bailey and Julio Ener twice, won a WBO belt, had two successful defenses.

That's a very respectable career if he retires after that Witter loss.

His record today? 52-35-1, he has been knocked out 9 times, plus he quit on his stool in a BKFC bare knuckle boxing match.

SO many... Look at Ali, Louis, and even Holmes who had no business fighting Tyson.

Holmes may have had no busines fighting Tyson, but then he had a very close fight against Holyfield and beat Ray Mercer.

I wonder how the Tyson fight goes had Larry had a tune up or something. Not just fought Tyson after two years of retirement. Hell, seven years after the Tyson fight, Holmes lost a WBC title shot 114-113 to McCall.

Devon Alexander notable fights through 2013:
W vs DeMarcus Corley UD 12
W vs Junior Witter RTD 8 (won vacant WBC super lightweight title)
W vs Juan Urango TKO 8 (unified IBF and WBC super lightweight titles, 1st successful WBC defense)
W vs Andreas Kotelnik UD 12 (2nd WBC/1st IBF successful defense)
L vs Timothy Bradley TD 10 (head clash cut, WBO/WBC unification)
W vs Lucas Matthysse SD 12
W vs Marcos Maidana UD 10
W vs Randall Bailey UD 12 (won IBF welterweight title)
L vs Shawn Porter UD 12 (lost IBF welterweight title on 2nd defense)

Should have retired there. 25-2, former unified titlist at 140, former titlist at 147, several good wins, no bad losses.

                  Since the Porter loss?
W vs Jesus Soto Karass UD 10
L vs Amir Khan UD 12
L vs Aaron Martinez UD 10
W vs Walter Castillo UD 10
L vs Victor Ortiz MD 10
L vs Andre Berto SD 12
L vs Ivan Redach TKO 6
L vs Lucas Santamaria UD 10
L vs Gabriel Maestre RTD 3

27-8-1. Berto and Ortiz had name value but they were every bit as washed as Alexander himself when those fights took place. Even retiring after the Khan fight would've been okay, but nobody needed to see Devon lose to guys like Martinez, Redkach, Santamaria, or Maestre.

Because his record isn’t good that’s why.
