And Mayweather would still make more fighting Valero than the winners of these two matches would make combined fighting each other. In spite of what they may say, no one fights strictly for pride. Money is the reason!!!
    Pretty much.

    • This is incredible and completly insane!!!!!! I don't recall ever, hearing of a fighter or team, completely overlooking a fighter of such caliber as Cotto. Are this people ***ing insane!!!???

Folks... dont' buy into the hype.... there is a good... no a great chance that comming Nov. 14th there will be a lot of people walking around dumbfounded. There will be a others that will feel silly for blindly buying into the hype.

It's simple folks.... everytime I hear people betting un untangibles... "Cotto is damage goods... he's not over Margacheatos beating.... his corner is not grad A" and completely overlooking tangible fact such as that he is on his prime, bigger, skillful, stronger and a savvy boxer/puncher that can KO pacman at any round, makes me feel that people are delusional.

He..the pacman has a good chance, but how the hell can they be picking dates for a future fight.....!!!!!

I tell you ... if Cotto wins..and I think he will... it will not be an upset. I will be as it should be...a great big fighter beating a somewhat better smaller one.

Split it all right down the middle or winner gets 60%, loser gets 40%.

        Make it happen.

ha!!! I agree with you, the outcome would be so upthere that I cannot imagine. yeap, they should do the split hopkins vs jones style, 60 for winner 40 for loser, that should make the fight even better.

        • It should be 60-40 to the winner but that'll never get agreed. If either fighter deserves more, it's definatley Floyd. He brings more to the table

              • All I will say is this... Lets not even think about this topic until Pac and Cotto is over with then people can have these talks because any boxing expert knows that even the best can be put out in a blink hint hint Traver-Jones 2...

                • people need to stop asking for 40-40 with the winner getting 20%. It will never happen. ever. It will somewhat compromise the integrity of the match & actions of fighters, judges, & referee.

Imagine what the fighters will do or wont do if a deal was actually like this.

No fighter or promoter will ever agree to it. I wonder if a contract such as this ever existed.

I cant wait to see how they try and sell this fight when Cotto destroys Pacquiao.

not sure about Pac being a better or more accomplished fighter than SSM?? i guess because SSM is getting old but he has one of the best resumes in boxing(at his current weight not 3 weight classes down) and is still at LEAST tied with Cotto on who is the #1 WW at teh moment pending a rematch or next performance
