  • I just want to see what Mayweather will do if Pac loses. The fight that was supposed to happen 2 years ago might finally get done. Maybe??

No it wasn't, it was 52-48 with a $12 million guarantee for Pac. And even that was only because Arum paid Pac extra out of his own pocket - Hatton's camp didn't budge from the 50-50 deal that had been agreed to, but Arum's additional payment to Pac out of his own share allowed Pac's camp to claim they were getting 52-48.

Folks... dont' buy into the hype.... there is a good... no a great chance that comming Nov. 14th there will be a lot of people walking around dumbfounded. There will be a others that will feel silly for blindly buying into the hype.

It's simple folks.... everytime I hear people betting un untangibles... "Cotto is damage goods... he's not over Margacheatos beating.... his corner is not grad A" and completely overlooking tangible fact such as that he is on his prime, bigger, skillful, stronger and a savvy boxer/puncher that can KO pacman at any round, makes me feel that people are delusional.

He..the pacman has a good chance, but how the hell can they be picking dates for a future fight.....!!!!!

I tell you ... if Cotto wins..and I think he will... it will not be an upset. I will be as it should be...a great big fighter beating a somewhat better smaller one.
Good post. It's very disrespectful of Arum. I'm surprised that Cotto hasn't complained about it.

          • hatton budged from the 50-50 stance. ive read & seen interviews where ricky was asked about the cut & he asnwered point blank that they conceded the bigger share in order to make the fight. He let out a honest answer but almost all interviews he says they never budged in order to save face.

So glad he wasnt able to save face during the fight. overrated prick actually thought he was equal to pacquiao.

            • First of all, PAC has to win over Cotto...

The thing is not Pac doing the talk, it's he's promoter...Now they're using Mayweather's name to promote the fight as They used PAC's in the JMM fight...

Linking this fight to the the best megamoney fight out there...

Quite frankly, I think Arum views Cotto as good as gone. For all we know, Migs has already told TR that he won't re-up the contract.

Hasn't Miguel expressed dissatisfaction with TR for awhile now?

                • If you want my honest opinion, I don't think that Arum will put Cotto or Pacquiao in with Mayweather. Even though Arum is saying that Pacquiao shouldn't look past Cotto, he is still only entertaining the thought of a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight and not a Cotto-Mayweather fight. That doesn't seem fair to me. If Arum doesn't either try to get Cotto a fight with Mayweather if he beats Pacquiao or at least try to set up a rematch with Margarito, win or lose on Cotto's part, then Cotto is really getting played.

And Arum would view Cotto as a long term investment wouldn't he? Cotto doesn't have the option of walking without fighting a couple more fights with Arum if I remember right. Arum may not be as skittish as matching Pacquiao with Mayweather as he is Cotto, because Pacquiao only has one or two more fights left probably.

TR already has cotto resigned. He couldnt get the pac fight without reupping with TR. You do know that arum is a harvard educated former staff to a U.S. president right?

                    • this fight will not happen because cotto will make sure of it. look for a mayweather cotto fight in the spring. outcome mayweathe won't be stationary to be hit. then he'll counter and pick cotto apart all night long. decision pbf easily.
