  • Fighting in march is too soon unless Manny gets a easy victory over Cotto. Mayweather will be fresh while Manny will have about four months from his last fight. The fight should be schedule for May. Manny needs to take some time off from training.

      He did? Cool, Dave. Thanks.

His option is to do a pbf-type buyout. Floyd paid $750K. Wonder what Migs' buyout is.

      • Remember before fighting Margarito, Arum was already getting ready for De La Hoya. Already had a date with Golden Boy.

If Pac starts seeing dollar signs like Arum and doesn't see the man in front of him, he's in deep ****.

I have a feeling that to Cotto this is do or die, this is his moment, it's his chance to erase what happened with Margarito and make his claim as one of the top 2-3 fighters in the sport. Similarly, when Margarito fought Cotto, it was do or die. Margarito needed to win that fight if he ever wanted to be on top of the sport. I don't know that Pacquiao feels the same way.

No he didn't. He had already signed the contract to fight Judah before Judah fought Boldomir (Boldomir was meant to be a tune-up for Judah and no one had given him a hope in hell of winning - a bit like De La Hoya-Sturm). And I can't believe you didn't know that - I suspect you're just being disingenious in order to score points.

And Mayweather fought Boldomir immediately after he fought Judah in any case.

          • Keep in mind how many times ODH-Pac almost fell through. I believe it was at least 4 times. This will get ugly but it is too much money on the line not to get it done.

You don't seem to like facts. That seems to be a pattern of yours

I think it will be fine, 2 months rest 2 months training.. I doubt Manny could fight from April-May 2010 since its campaign period in the Philippines. Manny is running for congress. But i still doubt that he will win.

I just don't see Pac beating Cotto. I believe they are setting up a Cotto vs Maywether if anything. I believe its going to be Cotto vs PBF. PBF beats Cotto, thats just more he can throw up in Shane face. Like get your thoughts and others on that.

Yup but this is Arum though. Pac, I hope, is getting ready for Cotto. Though I agree that Cotto's back is against the wall, Pac always placed himself against it every time he fights. It was always to make the Filipino people happy, this pressure is always there since the barrera fight and have serve him well during tough fights.
