Do you think Hopkins should have pulled out of the De La Hoya fight when De La Hoya got owned by Sturm? I didn't hear anyone bashing Hopkins at that time.

Couldn't agree more - boxing was far healthier when big fights were free to air and regularly got audiences in the tens of millions. PPV is bad for the sport as a sport, although it has made a few boxers richer than they would otherwise have been.

This is true...I was actually VERY upset with Oscar as a fan though. Just by looking at this body, I could tell that he was only looking forward to his fight with Oscar and that he prepared poorly for the fight. But I hear ya though.

That's two. "All" means three or more. And JMM was only a tune-up. So that leaves Hatton in terms of fights that meant anything. And Hatton was balanced by De La Hoya at Jnr Middleweight, who was bigger than Floyd. So to say that he's made his rep "by beating all those smaller fighters" is a bit of a stretch, to put it mildly.

You can legitimately criticise him for not ever having defended his Welterweight title against a Welterweight, and I'd be the first to agree with that criticism. But the claim about "all" those smaller fighters was just silly.

exactly! 50/50 with pac will still trump 70/30 with mosley or cotto!

plus pac is comfy in the PI. he don't ever need to work again.

floyd on the otherhand, has financial problems exacerbated w/ this flashy lifestyle...

in other words, floyd needs pac, pac don't need floyd

so f*****ing true i agree 100 percent if he beats cotto and he wants to fight mayweather it has to be at 147 or else he will be known for draining opponents like how mayweather is known for ducking opponents
