IDK about his body, but his brain definitely didn't get any fatter.

If he doesn't do something different this time, Zhang is going to get confident very quickly and go to work on him.

See that picture of Joe Joyce right there, he is in better condition than Tyson Fury has been for 95% of his entire career.

I wonder why certain Heavyweights are held to a high standard in their performance and conditioning 'And others are not?'.

I have seen people post pictures of Tyson Fury & Andy Ruiz Junior complimenting them on their conditioning 'Maybe they have some sort of lens over their computer screens which alters reality? Or maybe on some level they just hold certain Heavyweights to low standards'.

Joe Joyce, Anthony Joshua, maybe Hrgovic, Maybe Zhang, Dubois.

Really? This are the only Super Heavyweights who are solid at the weight 'And although Wilder is not a Super Heavyweight, he is always in condition.

Overall this era of Heavyweights have way below par conditioning compared to past era's 'And when I speak of conditioning, I am also referring to components of fitness such as Endurance, Aerobic Capacity and overall athleticism'.

Note: But on the actual fight Joyce vs Zhang. I never out righted picked Joyce to win the first fight, and thought that the fight was actually bad match making due to Joyce's position in the game at that time 'There was really no need to take on that type of challenge'.

For this rematch, Joyce quite simply has to win to stay in and around the top Heavyweights. Maybe this pressure improves his defense, and he users the same tactics which in employed to beat Danial Dubois 'Joyce in that fight boxed very well, and his movement was underrated'. Joyce won that fight predominantly with a solid jab, and educated movement etc.

Each boxing judge scores differently, effectiveness or activity? If it goes the distance, Joyce will win a controversial decision like Zhang vs Hrgovic.
          I feel that's a good observation.

I also feel like the skills of Zhilei Zhang was have much more to do with the outcome than anything that Joyce does or doesn't do to prepare. I like Zhang for another stoppage win.

I understand the need for Joyce to want a total reset & turn baack the hands of time, given his age and short window; but when I look back at his dismantling of Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker, I feel that he can still beat ALMOST any man alive. But NOT Zhilei Zhang!!!!!!!!

Joyce could improve his speed by 90% and he'd still be one of the slowest heavyweights out there

Joyce was getting out boxed while doing more damage against DDD . He boxed better against Zhang because there was less movement on the other side . Zhang is 280 that’s the only reason you saw the fight unfold like it did . Moving a guy back and where you want him is the necessity of Joyce’s success . Joyce is more then likely going to punish Zhang to the body more and physically wear him down this time and get that late stoppage .

Bigger, smaller or the same, if he don't move, he's going to get hurt again. Zhang hasn't got the fastest hands in boxing but he's too fast for Joyce to stand and trade with.

Roided 275lb Joyce who fought Parker was a titan

He was light against Zhang and being lighter did nothing for him. He had to be a late fight relentless titan to beat Zhang and has to box to perfection early doors.

The weight drop in the first fight could've affected his punch resistance. I don't see Joyce changing who he is and suddenly start being quick on his feet with head movement, it just isn't going to happen. If he can get through Zhang's onslaught in the first half without getting KO'd or having his eye shut, he can definitely take over in the second half as Zhang gasses. It won't be easy and Joyce's style of just walking through everything might be catching up to him at his age.
