I wasn’t crazy about Hrgovic’s last couple of performances, or Usyk’s for that matter. For me, it could probably go either way.

For that reason I give Filip a chance if he can fight with some enthusiasm, which is questionable after Filip’s last two fights. Seriously, Filip is worn out and definitely has no jump at all in his step.
Supposedly his dad died before the Zhang fight, which I thought he lost tbh, & the last fight was after a yr layoff. So neither were great setups for a good night. I'm not a big "why you lost or didn't look good" situation guy tho. It is what it is. But I do believe when guys are in position for a big fight & get these do nothing for them fights its hard to get up for them for that reason too & when they do get the big fight they want they perform beyond expectations.

That said from my POV even if Filip does better than expected I think he probably still loses lol, BUT if Filip comes motivated & with a plan & Usyk looks about as good as he's been looking an upset isn't out of the question. I'd say its like an 80/20ish Usyk fight.

I think there's this kinda setup looking at it from purely Usyk's ability/attributes/intangibles vs others:

        Tyson
        (couple levels)
        Usyk
(maybe one level gap, maybe not)
Zhang, Wilder, Joe Joyce, Jared in another 12mos or so
AJ, Filip, Joe Parker & a few other top 15 guys

Basically the gap ain't as big as ppl think or act like & guys can win a dec over Usyk OR stop him. Its not JUST a punchers chance thing imo. I think AJ being as competitive & close to eeking out a W, despite how far most feel he's fallen off, in fight 2, shows that.
Sorry but Usyk DEFINITELY belongs at the highest level possible in boxing i.e. arguably p4p #1 alongside Crawford + Inoue. That's undeniable given he's an undefeated, multi-weight world champion who defeated Joshua (twice) and just stopped a top young contender in Dubois. Therefore, I don't think he'll have any problems handling the rest of the divisions top talent (besides the obvious puncher's chance) whereas only Fury will pose a GENUINE threat to his reign given that he's the much bigger man and a career Heavyweight who stopped all of his recent opponents.

My problem with Hrgovic is that no matter what good stuff he does, he always seems to have a point in a round where he takes a break, has a lull, turns his back, drops his hands, etc.

Usyk won't give him any moments off in a round. The movement and the jab in the face is almost constant.

I'd pick Usyk every time against Hrgovic.

I think a few guys could be threats to him these days. If I was Team Usyk I'd probably mainly stay away from guys like Deontay, Zhang & Joe Joyce. All three can alter a fight with one shot & I think Usyk gets hit clean a lil more than I like for a HW boxer who's supposed to be able to outbox everyone. Jared is a lil too short in the tooth rn, but I think in another 12-18mos, if Usyk is still around, he might be a top threat to Usyk then too.
Zhang and Joyce move in quicksand, Usyk boxes circles round both. He dealt with Joyce as an amateur too.

That was mostly with Zhang. He received a lot of punishment. He needed to take a break)

FLips got zhang problems. But Flip is a good fighter. ANd if usyk consistently fights good fighters he may have an off night, so Flip can fill that void and beat Usyk for sure. But FLip needs the stars to align, Flip has night of his life and Usyk has bad day at office.

He has a bad stamina. he barely stayed on his feet in the last rounds in last two fights.

He had some very off moments in Zhang and McKean fights. he can`t afford that fighting Usyk. Usyk will not miss a single opportunity to punch him in the face.

P4P is sci fi fantasy sh^t & in general silly. I don't really gaf about it & don't know why so many fans do.

As far as him at HW I can see you saying he's #1 & I can see the argument for him being #1, I just wouldn't agree.
