He is IBF mandatory. He has the right to be ambitious.

Makhmudov? he didn`t impress me so far.

What I mean is that he should build a resume before talking about the top dogs...

And who in division, except Joshua, actually has "a resume"?

Especially before title shot. All of them are building their carieer smart and only before title shot they have few (2,3) strong opponents. Fury, Joshua, Wilder... people who follow boxing know this. People who write about building a resume before title shot do not follow boxing for real.
            Amen.

Hrgović is a durable fighter. Throws a lot of punches, has a good dodge. He is capable of boxing for 12 rounds. Smart boxing. His only drawback is that he lacks ideas, to put more pressure on the fighter and sometimes start an open exchange. He can beat Usyk

I know Hrgovic can be lazy at times but I just think he KOs Usyk in the mid to late rounds. The only way I see Usyk winning is if he is on his bike all 12 rounds.
Me too. Hrgovic is a good boxer who offers excellent size ( Height 6'6", weight 245 lbs and reach 82" are very hard to match ), power full punches and has skills such as a big right hand , and good body punching. I do not think Usyk can take it. And he is an active heavyweight and throws lots of punches. Check the punch stats. I hope Usyk does not duck him too.

Yes. Hrgovic has beaten five undefeated fighters, including Zhang who is ranked in the top ten. He has beaten men who fight for titles. Most fans do not know this. But some do. There is a reason why Ortiz, Parker and Ruiz said no thank you to a fights with Hrgoivc. And Hunter jr as well who went the distance with Usky and won some rounds. Hunter pulled out of a signed match with Hrgovic and bell his IBF mandatory. I say all four fighters would have lost to Hrgovic.

You left a tiny tiny detail out, in that a huge amount of people saw Zhang beating Hrgovic. Deliberately, I suppose

Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt, and say Zhang was a blip. Who else on the resume stands out?

But I suppose it’s not logic that underpins your high on Hrgovic, more a hunch or a feeling. That’s fair enough

We don’t have anything to work with, so maybe Hrgovic will surprise us all. Certainly hasn’t done so yet

Is scored the fight for Hrgovic as did all thee judges. I am open to a round by round scoring of the fight, which is include a doggy knock down by Zhang when he hits Hrgovic behind the head and pulls him down...yet when Hrgovic lands flush and makes Zhnag do a spilt that is not called by the ref?

Check the punch stats of the fight. Hrgovic beat Zhang despite of this on his worst night when he was not focused. Anyway it is win over a top then opponent. Yes, I am optimistic on Hrgovic being the next heavyweight champion of the world. Did you see my top 15 heavyweight contenders post? You might like it as it is rather detailed.
