The ONLY Heavyweight who can potentially beat Usyk is Fury…he’ll just outbox everybody else like he’s already been doing.

I think Usyk will be picking him off all night and wear him down enough to win the fight. These big heavyweight's Achilles heal is that they can't deal with a consistent high workrate from a guy who hits them at varying angles. They fade while Usyk picks them apart. Hrgovic seems so stiff and lacking in dynamism that the smart bet would be on Usyk. Filip does have a puncher's chance, a big reach advantage, size, and he's a good fighter, so he definitely shouldn't be written off but, Usyk is a MUCH, MUCH better fighter than Hrgovic.
Please check Filip statistic, Filip throws a lot of punches. You should not ignore this. That is his fighting style. Against Zhang, Hrgovic landed twice as many punches as Zhang. He throw more than 700.... That is almost 60 per round. In average every 3 second one punch. No one gives him credit for that. Throws a lot and hits hard. He deff can hurt Usyk.

Also he survived Zhang hard punches. I do not believe that Usyk can hurt him like Zhang did and Filip always came back in that match with series of punches and all over again, and again. Like the movie neverending story.

Tyson def beats him, but I think he's beatable by others.

I think a few guys could be threats to him these days. If I was Team Usyk I'd probably mainly stay away from guys like Deontay, Zhang & Joe Joyce. All three can alter a fight with one shot & I think Usyk gets hit clean a lil more than I like for a HW boxer who's supposed to be able to outbox everyone. Jared is a lil too short in the tooth rn, but I think in another 12-18mos, if Usyk is still around, he might be a top threat to Usyk then too.

After seeing Dubois knocking out Usyk (yeah, this was a knockout and Usyk has a glass body), I can now see Hrgovic doing it. He lacks movement and tends to be lethargic at moments, but has more courage and heart than Dubois and hits hard enough.

Obviously they all have a puncher’s chance…this is Heavyweight boxing after all (especially Wilder who put Fury on the canvas 4 times). However, there’s LEVELS to this game and Usyk losing to Hrgovic is about as unlikely as Stanionis beating Crawford.

Zhang only throws like 25-30 punches a round. It's not hard to beat that activity. Usyk does more like double that, and has been known to throw upwards of 90 in championship rounds. While he doesn't have major punching power for the heavyweight division, he's obviously got enough to keep people honest, and it's very hard to throw punches when you're being punched in the face and when the other guy has a positional advantage. Hrgovic isn't light on his feet. If he's getting hit and then has to reset his feet to throw back, his volume is going to suffer.

And Usyk is hard to hit. Look at the punch stats for AJ. AJ threw around 25-30 a round vs Ruiz in both fights. He was throwing close to double that (641 in the first fight) and still got outlanded by Usyk, who threw only 529. In the second fight when he was trying to pressure more and arguably did better, he only managed to throw 492 punches.

Hrgovic would provide a good test for the theory about whether or not Usyk is weak to the body though.

I wonder, if Usyk fights and manages to beat Hrgovic and the winner of Zhang/Joyce, and Fury continues his ****** games and doesn't fight anyone of consequence, if NSB will be willing to give him credit...

Sure, but ig what I'm saying overall is I don't think Usyk is on THAT high a level.

I think there's this kinda setup looking at it from purely Usyk's ability/attributes/intangibles vs others:

                Tyson
                (couple levels)
                Usyk
(maybe one level gap, maybe not)
Zhang, Wilder, Joe Joyce, Jared in another 12mos or so
AJ, Filip, Joe Parker & a few other top 15 guys

Basically the gap ain't as big as ppl think or act like & guys can win a dec over Usyk OR stop him. Its not JUST a punchers chance thing imo. I think AJ being as competitive & close to eeking out a W, despite how far most feel he's fallen off, in fight 2, shows that.

Who's not giving him credit now? Anyone who's not isn't anyone you should pay attn to or gaf about.

Usyk's done crazy well already & gets massive respect be most mfers. He's a HOF guy when he retires if he never wins another fight. That said no one is unbeatable & he's looking like a guy ripe to be beaten to me. If I'm right I'm right, if I'm wrong I'm wrong, but I got respect for what he's done & may or may not do in the future regardless.

It will be interesting fight. Filips mentality is to put presure on his opponent. Usyk moves a lot, throws a lot, big precission. That is another reason why it is necessary to go to the body. It is easier to hit his body than his head. AJ tried to outbox him but I think that it is necessary to "bully" Usyk. Like Chisora did.

Regarding Zhang, because he throws 25-30 per round Joyce has chance if he survives.

Fury...I lost my respect for him. He is the best but he has no respect for boxing and boxing fans. I do not give a s*** what he will do in the future. AJ is active a big respect to AJ.

Looks to me like people writing on this thread haven’t seen Filip’s last two fights. He looked old, slow, and beaten. Now that Usyk’s former trainer let the cat out of the bag,(Usyk can’t take it to the body), and Father Time is knocking on his door. For that reason I give Filip a chance if he can fight with some enthusiasm, which is questionable after Filip’s last two fights. Seriously, Filip is worn out and definitely has no jump at all in his step.
