Why Does David Benavidez Get A Pass For BLATANTLY Ducking Morrell?

Who better to prove himself than no other than benavidez. After all, they both are mandatories to canelo, they have an interim belt, young and good fighters. What is the holdup?

Don’t get me wrong I would love to see the fight although I think Benavidez smashes Morrell. I just feel Morrell hasn’t done anything to justify the duck claim. benavidez is not an A side, and I think that Morell jr would prevail if they ever fight. Actually, the more they wait, the better for Morell jr. The Cuban can **** and has a one-punch KO on either hand, but he is a heck of a boxer too, and very explosive. In any case, the fight needs to happen if both of them stay at the division, there's no way around that. Today next year, it will happen. If benavidez and his people believe what you do, that he can smash Morell jr, the fight would be signed already. Easy money.

They are Haymons two biggest potential super stars, and only an idiot would match them up now for literally nothing other than them beating the crap out of each other. PBC would literally not allow them to fight imo.

He is not your typical 9 fight prospect, he had nearly 150 amateur fights, several in WSB and its not like he has fought 9 schmucks, he has been matched tough vs seasoned vets.

There shouldn't be excuses oh he only has X amount of fights, great, should be an easy nights work then!

All boxers want to do these days is act entitled, act like they deserve mega fights vs superstars and sit on the shelf. Claim they are so avoided yet only fighting guys who can't punch or are shot to bits once a year at best while proclaiming to be the boogyman and fans lap it up. Benavidez has one name on his entire resume, he isn't above anybody.
If you are this Mexican monster and all this then start fighting, separate yourself from the rest.

His best win is against Plant, another fighter that not many care about, and he fought a blown up washed up David Lemieux two fights ago. Lemieux!!! In short, very few people even care enough about Benavidez to either condemn him or give him a pass about a fight with a guy who only has 9 fights.

I don't think Morrell has super star potential. Cuban's never seem to get THAT big with US fans. Obv he's got the skills of a high level guy tho to be where he's at already. I think guys like Elijah Garcia & Jesus Ramos got higher drawing ability ceilings than Morrell with that built in Mexican fanbase in the US. They haven't got to the rank of Morrell yet, but I believe both can get there & will have bigger fan bases when they do & as they progress to more bigger fights.

Yet everyone is demanding Canelo fights him. Ask anyone, fans, fighters, trainers, reporters, the first word out of their mouths is they want Canelo to fight Benavidez. That is odd for someone who is 'almost irrelevant' according to you. The Rings and WBC rankings also seem to disagree with you.

I'm not making a difference between any type of Cuban, typical or extraordinary. I'm making a difference between Cuban & US/Mexican boxers in the US & fans coming to their fights.

There's been numerous Cuban's in the US of all kinds of talent & entertainment levels & none have made much of an impact with fans Cuban or not Cuban to rise to the level of superstar.

There could very well be a Cuban superstar at some future date, cuz Manny was a lottery ticket longshot to become a US superstar at one point himself too, but I'd still bet against it cuz it'll need to be the same lightning in a bottle situation as Manny had to have to make him one.
