If it were up to the fans, I bet 85% would've rather see Canelo vs. Benavidez, instead of Canelo vs. GGG III. Remember, GGG did NOT look good vs. Derenvyanchenko!

Of course anyone who's not a internet ****** knows this. No one besides idiots discredits Canelos body of work. It's not up for debate. Already a hof fighter and could definitely take it higher.

Having won at 168 and having failed to make weight, WHEN will Benevidez underline that monster tag he waves around like a flag, and show the same nut Canelo and Mayweather have?

Why no clamor for Artur Beterbiev, somebody who has without a doubt proven to be a monster? Have fans become so enamoured with Benavidez schtick on call-out that they miss the point on what appears to be years-long and seemingly endless ************ at 168? Its great to pull the wool over the eyes of those that only see what they are told to see, or what directly lies in front. But some awareness and objectivity would seem to be of value here. I too am disappointed that Canelo hasn't faced Benavidez. It's a compelling matchup. Many think Benavidez would tromp the high-mileage red head. But given the continuous overlook from the cash cow, why hasn't Benavidez blazed his own trail and moved-up to face an equalling threatening undefeated monster in Beterbiev? Just crickets chirping and more ************ from a weight bully. it would seem.

Then next time Canelo haters wish to extoll the vast threat and magnitude of the challenge Benavidez brings, in their haste to further denigrate Alvarez, maybe ask yourself just why King David hasn't ever tried and stepped to it with another monster.
The hell with Beterbiev. How about anyone with a pulse at 168. You know outside of Plant who he couldn't even stop. Who else? He's the interim though, so he should get his shot eventually.

The notion that Canelo is running scared is hilarious. GGG was allegedly much more feared than Benavidez. Canelo has took many risks, more than modern day fighters. It's this social media era. Living in a fantasy world.

I don't think it's unfair for the public to wanna see active fighters in their prime (or close to their prime in Canelo's case) to fight the best and most intriguing fights available.

If CaneIo was older and took another L while clearly being on his way out of the sport, then I can understand what Floyd is saying, but Canelo is literally an undisputed champ and is undefeated at 168.

On these boards for over a decade and it's the same song. He says it and we say it. There's always a new fighter he ducks. And most of these fighters haven't won any significant fights. From Trout, Lara, GGG , Jermall Charlo, Boo Boo, Benavidez, and Beterbiev was next if Canelo beat Bivol. They want Canelo to beat everyone or they're just eager for him to lose.

That's a bunch of BS. There is nothing unfair about wanting or expecting Canelo to defend his title against the best challenger in his division which is Benavidez. That goes for all champions. Not just Canelo. But Canelo has been avoiding Benavidez for years and people are rightfully calling him out for it.

Benavidez hasn't beaten anybody significant? You have to know that's a lie. He just beat up Plant.

They said he was ducking Angulo when he was younger, they said he was ducking GGG, they said he was ducking both Charlo bros(now they ****e on it), now they're saying he's ducking Benavidez but we know the fight will happen probably next year.

Hopefully his mignions will come around seeing how Floyd has now given Canelo his full props. Floyd did the same so am sure he can relate. With Canelo, it’s always going to be one more fighter, one more fighter. Canelo can’t fight everybody while they all sit around waiting for a Canelo handout. I agree he waited out GGG for sure but he himself was still getting acclimated to 160 and by the time he fought him, GGG was still very dangerous. Benavidez -Andrade getting it on is very good to clear the picture. Ideally Charlo v Plant should happen and Canelo can fight winner of either of those.
