He had a #1 WBO ranking and was contacted by Black Prime. Davis 2.0.

He grew, can't make the weight without a full camp

You guys think he can fight whoever he wants, when he wants, huh? Interesting reality you guys are a part of.

to pad your record of 32 fights, then wait for money fights. It's a long-term investment.
Don't know exactly when that money fight comes for him.
That pretty much sums it all. He's with a team with a long-term plan. Which not many fighters have luxury of protection on a long-term basis. Most have been showcase victims to make certain fighters look good, thus have had a hard time maintaining a loss-less record.

I didn't start following boxing as early as others. Ennis rise seems different from, say Thurman. Fans noticed Keith's visibility early even when he was fighting bums after another. He got noticed around his 20th fight, while Ennis seemed just popped out of nowhere and got noticed in his 28th fight when he fought Lipinets. Of course, that's when some fans started digging about his record. I don't know, but it almost seemed like his team wanted it that way, slowly and quietly with not much fanfare.

I don't know but it's time for him to cash in his lottery ticket since there will be no immediate rematch between Bud Crawford and Errol Spence, Jr. The IBF should give Terence Crawford at least 30 more days to decide whether or not he is planning on vacating the welterweight division.

If he does decide to move up then the IBF title should become vacant and they should recognize Jaron Ennis as their welterweight champion. If he decides to stay at welterweight then the IBF should force a pursue bid.

That's true. There's no money fight for him unless he dances with a star. He's not a draw by himself. Casuals barely see him in the ring.
