Have we heard a peep from Ennis since Crawford-Spence?
What is Jaron Boots Ennis waiting for?

Usually the organizations allow boxers to get away from defending the titles IF they make big time fights.
Why? Because 3% of 18 million is more than 3% of 2 million. (3% being the fee that the org. charges to defend their belts; source: Rachel Donaire)
So, technically he could if he won and then had to rematch Canelo.
In that meantime, Crawford can fight Ennis, rematch Spence at 154. I suppose.
Anything less than Ennis, Spence, or Tszyu at 154 is straight bs from Crawford.Comment

Nobody wants to fight him. Last I heard Thurman wanted 10 million to fight him. He should be trying to make a fight with Stanionis.Comment

There's essentially no money fight for him to wait on.
That's been the objective in the first place, fight bums all your career
to pad your record of 32 fights, then wait for money fights. It's a long-term investment.
Don't know exactly when that money fight comes for him.Comment

The waiting game for Crawford and Spence held up the division, they literally just fought, if, as is expected they move up for the rematch Ennis and the rest of the welters will fight to collect the belts, if not the division will be held up longer, but it's unlikely Bud is gonna stick around and fight all his mandatories, he's going to go maximize his earning potential in his last few fights.Comment
