Personally, I prefer when a fighter wins the title in the ring not through political formalities. However, the fighter should never be punished for this when it's the sanctioning bodies making these decisions.

I get as interim champion if the champion can't/don't defend his title you get made full champion but I still think tim should be fighting for the full vacant title against josh Kelly who's the next highest ranked fighter. I'd think he'd win anyway but its still better when they fight for the title instead of just being made champion
