Tszyu and Haney aren’t comparable here. Tszyu actually had a fight scheduled with Charlo, until Jermell pulled out with an injured hand excuse. Then he signs to fight Canelo, then he tells Tszyu he needs to do more to earn a title shot with him. Total BS. I don’t think Tszyu or any fighter should be gifted a title, but Tszyu didn’t back out of their fight, Charlo did.

It's very comparable. Both were mandatory challengers that didn't get their shot in the ring because the champions chose to fight another opponent. Both recieved belts. Neither won it in the ring. Same damn thing. Lomachenko avoided fighting Haney with that BS franchise belt that HE requested. He chose to fight Lopez. Charlo chose to fight Canelo. Same thing.


The only difference is that one is a white fighter and one is black. It's your MO to trash black fighters so you're looking for a way out to separate Tszyu from this. It won't work.

Well Charlo will officially challenge for the 168 version of their title and also fact Tim been waiting for his shot quite some time now ,although its sounds ridiculous it makes some sense, maybe we'll end up getting Tim vs Bud for the 154 strap now given Boots dismissal at 147. Who knows.
