Comments Thread For: Charlo To Retain WBO 154 Title Through Ring Intros For Canelo Fight; Tszyu Becomes Full Champ Immediately Thereafter

The 'Undisputed versus Undisputed' billing still applies to the forthcoming Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez-Jermell Charlo showdown. However, that status will instantly change once the bell sounds for their super middleweight championship.

So absent the Spence rematch, the best thing for Crawford to do is try to fight Tim Tszyu or Brian Mendoza (WBC interim titlist who will almost definitely be promoted just like Tszyu). Collect a belt or two while Charlo is tied up with Canelo; then he can fight Charlo for undisputed if Charlo comes back to 154 or go after his belts if he vacates.

Why would Spence get a title shot? Crawford is the WBO welterweight titlist; he's the one that could move up and become a mandatory challenger.

Let's see if anybody calls Tszyu an E-mail champion like they did with Haney.

How come they didn’t do the same for Haney?
