Still think Benavidez should fight Morrell.
Haven't you heard? It's literally everybody on earth's fault except Andrade's that Andrade has never fought anybody good.

Because if you're not a cherry picking coward and you're matched tough, some of the guys you fight on the way up will generally go on to win titles later. Crawford fought Beltran before he won a title too.

Andrade almost always takes the safest fight available to him. That's why he's in the situation he is right now, aging out of what little relevance he ever had. If he had taken some risks and beaten some decent fighters (it wouldn't even take that many, just 3 or 4 good names would be enough) he'd be an attractive option for top end guys like Canelo. But he didn't, so he isn't. He just fights nobodies and demands that someone gift him a megafight. He didn't put in the work of beating rising prospects on his way up, he didn't build his name by putting down former champions, he didn't force his way into big fights by beating top 5 contenders. He fought unranked nobodies for vacant belts and then defended them against even worse nobodies.
It's all good man. I agree that some of it is Andrade's fault. He signed some bad contracts and made bad decisions. But I also believe some of it isn't his fault like the Sanders situation.

The Saunders situation wasn't his fault, but that's 1 fight out of 32. At some point he has to look at the man in the mirror.

Andrade isn't a big name, has no momentum and hasn't done anything at 168.

It does seem like Benavidez didn't want to fight Morrell mostly because he sees him as a more dangerous fight than Andrade.

He is a 2 division WC, unlike Morrel who is just a prospect. Andrade has more value on his resume and he might actually be a better fighter than unproven Morrell.

Morrell is a contender, not a prospect.

Andrade is an excellent fighter but he won vacant titles in two divisions and his resume is very underwhelming.

I understand why Benavidez is fighting him instead of Morrell but I also believe he sees him as the easier fight.

Sucks that all these type of fights end up being a ****ing PPV. Understandable that Crawford vs Spence was PPV. But Benavidez vs Andrade is not PPV worthy. Andrade shouldn't be on any ****ing PPV lol

It's how they cover fighter's purses. Don't like it, don't buy it.

Benavidez clobbers Andrade quicker than he clobbers Morrell - if he even clobbers Morrell - and he knows it. The young kid is too much of a risk this close to a Canelo payday. Andrade has age and inactivity and a piss poor resume. Much easier paycheck.
