What if Ngannou knocks Tyson Fury OUT

I was watching this mma livestream and the people on there were saying Ngannou can knock fury out and what happens to Ngannou if/when he knocks fury out, what happens to boxing etc. I was laughing at what they were saying tbh but then I got to thinking, and a little worry creeped in, what if Ngannou lands a punch from the gods like Ruiz did against AJ, and it knocks fury out.

What happens to boxing if that happens, and the whole narrative which is correct that mma fighters can’t box.

Fury better not take this lightly, I swear down

if Wilder couldn't do it, neither will Ngannou.

Wilder did knock him down hard 4 times. He may have gotten up each time, but it's not like knockdowns from a massive puncher heavyweight just go away. Who knows how much chin he's got left, and Ngannou hits really hard too. Of course, Ngannou would have to be able to catch him first...

Sounds like it won't have the title on the line, but if Ngannou pulls it off, he's the baddest man on the planet IMO, and Fury will look like a giant clown.

Fury would have to rematch him with the title on the line or have another mental breakdown and retires.

Usyk vs ngannou for all 4 belts

I would laugh my ass off if this happens and so would everybody else it would be entirely Furys fault too.

If Francis Ngannou knocks out Tyson Fury.....then we will have a New Heavyweight Champion! Just that simple.

Remember that like Stipe Miocic before him, Francis Ngannou IS a boxer, who, in a fairly short time bolted on the grappling and kicking skills nessesary to "Swallow" the MMA world, to throw Joe Rogan’s 2007 words back at him.
ALL present day MMA fighters are Boxers to some extent, and calling it other things like "Striking, Dirty boxing", etc is no longer taken seriously by intelligent observers.

In the landmark 2012 article published in Sports Illustrated entitled "War and Peace in Jackson's gym", the respected coach Mike Winklejohn stated that MMA was "a four legged table comprised of 1) Western Boxing, 2) BJJ/Judo/Submission Grappling, 3) Muay Thai/FC Karate/Kickboxing and 4) Freestyle/Greco-Roman Wrestling".

Over time, in evolutionary segments, the stylistic approach has... evolved. The first segment began as an infomercial for "Gracie" (Brazilian) Jujitsu, when we learned quickly that gravity had a say in fights that really wasn't recognized in the old TV westerns, nor in the Karate & Kung Fu craze of the 1970s. But MMA pioneers like Marco Ruas, Dan Severn, Maurice Smith and Kazushi Sakuraba moved us along, and before you knew it, the Gracie clan was forced to watch as the sport moved beyond them to the point where they and their students were no longer even competitive in it. Fast forward 30 years from ground zero, and today, we see the same 4 legs of the table as the best practice approach; but Boxing alone has a bigger and ever increasing slice of what's relevant! No top MMA professional today can go without a heavy boxing component.
The only die hards who still beleive that Submission Grappling remains more important than Boxing in MMA is the LBGT community, we can safely imagine.

While Randy Couture vs. James Toney is, at significant cost to the UFC, the most famous MMA vs. Boxing encounter to the casual fans, it is certainly Ray Mercer vs. Tim Sylvia that provides the best example.
Toney was getting hammerd by pedestrian talents even in his native sport by then, deep into the symptoms of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE).

Francis Ngannou IS a boxer. But if he was ever going to become world class at it, he'd have chosen that harder to obtain path years ago, instead of dominating the whole of MMA only to discover that there isn't much reward given for doing that.

No worries about him landing a haymaker in the top 25....ain't gonna happen.

It's a non title fight so no he wouldn't be world champion, he would have to do it again with the belt on the line.

Nothing will happen to boxing. Just like it didn't effect MMA when Conor lost.

What if a three legged rocking horse wins the grand national?

                    It's irrelevant because he won't.
