Would Shavers even be able to land a punch on Wilder?

Lol yet Lewis, Wlad, and Vitali all got beat by fighters from the 90's. Lewis got knocked out twice in his career with one punch. Vitali quit against 180 pound Chris Byrd, Wlad got knocked out 3 times in his prime by C level or worse fighters. Also Fury is a bum. lol his best wins are against a old Wlad and bum Wilder. Wilder's best win was against a 50 year Luis Ortiz. This forum should only let grown people who actually watch boxing to make post.

There's no such thing as an Olympic medalist with no skill, so I think you guys are underrating him.

Wilder's the better athlete by far.

He's quicker, faster, taller, longer reach, has more durability, and a better chin.

I just don't see the love for Shavers here other than nostalgia.
Yeah because if you win a metal as amateur that automatically means you are skilled as a pro. Wilder is more durable? The guy has been boxing for 15 years as a pro and is still hand picking his opponents. You can easily avoid being knocked out if you constantly fight hand picked opponents. Also Wilder isn't faster, or quicker, than Shavers. Also being taller makes you a better fighter? Great then David Price is better than Wilder then.

So Wilder beat a old Ortiz and a bunch of other guys that everybody else knocked out too.Shavers also beat guys like Roy "Tiger" Williams, Howard Smith, (Shavers is the only person to stop these guys) Jimmy Young (A young Jimmy Young but still). Shavers fought better people than Wilder. Shavers fought in a better era. Shavers fought in a era where people were in shape. Shavers lands his right hand and Wilder does night night.
Shavers fought mostly guys coming off loses …..the way you guys act like woman on here he’d be dead in the water …keep the same standards then ? Lol

And Wilder fought guys who were all bums. Awww you type I act like a woman so now I am boxing forum hurt. I am going to cry now. Lol this is from the grown man crying over some boxer because he has the hots for him. Nothing you types bothers me kid. Each time you make a post i proves how little you know about boxing. Please continue so I can the rest of the people here can laugh at you.

Shavers beat guys who were in their primes and who were good fighters. Wilder beat a 40 plus year old Luis Ortiz. Shavers lost more fights because he fought in a better era and fought better opponents. Even the bad opponents doing that time frame were still in shape, still knew how to fight a little and you seen few guys 40 plus years old still fighting. Your man crush Wilder is a D minus level fighter who got knocked out by a fat crackhead in Tyson Fury. Deal with it kid. Is a new Pokemon and Dragonball Z game out now? If so play them and stop pretending like you know a thing about boxing.

              That's ridiculous.

You guys with that "handpicked" nonsense.

The HW division has been useless.for the past decade.

The only HWs that have mattered were old Wlad, Wilder, Fury, Joshua, at one point Ortiz, and now Usyk since he's moved up.

None of those other guys that AJ or Fury were fighting were any better than the guys Wilder was.

Charles Martin, Dominc Brezeale, Dillian Whyte, Parker, Chisora, and Ruiz are no better than the guys Wilder was fighting.

              It's been a trash division.

Wilder's fought Fury 3x, which mean's he's had 3 better opponents than AJ ever has.

And Ortiz at the end of his prime was avoided for a reason.

He was going to fight Povetkin (when he was still something), but he tested positive for PEDs right before the fight.

Perhaps his victory over Christian Hammer or maybe Travis Kauffman?

In all seriousness, Ortiz best wins were against Bryant Jennings, Tony Thompson and Charles Martin.

I still think it's a tough matchup for Shavers but I don't think Wilder wins it guaranteed.

As for the loss to Jerry Quarry...people can denigrate the Bellflower Bomber but George Foreman spoke very highly of him, I think his exact comment was that Jerry was the best HW to never win a title. Hyperbole perhaps, but I rate ol' George's assessment on Quarry.

Lol Ortiz was never avoided by anybody. He had fights lined up and failed steroid test. Second Fury is a bum. Beating a old Wladimir Klistchko by running doesn't make you a world class fighter. Also what does any of this have to do with Shavers vs Wilder? Shavers lost because he fought better opponents than Wilder has faced. They both have high knockout ratios because they cherry picked their opponents but that being said Shavers still would beat Wilder more times than Wilder would beat him.

You are quite a critic Mr. Kemp. Are there 5 heavyweights ever who don't suck, in your opinion?
