Wilder vs Shavers ?

Dude, Shavers lost to Bob Stallings,
Lol Ortiz was never avoided by anybody. He had fights lined up and failed steroid test. Second Fury is a bum. Beating a old Wladimir Klistchko by running doesn't make you a world class fighter. Also what does any of this have to do with Shavers vs Wilder? Shavers lost because he fought better opponents than Wilder has faced. They both have high knockout ratios because they cherry picked their opponents but that being said Shavers still would beat Wilder more times than Wilder would beat him.
He aint as good as Fury
He lost to Ron Lyle
He aint as good as Fury
He lost to Bernardo Mercado & Tex Cobb
They aint as good as Tyson Fury.
So, yeah, he lost to some greats, but he lost to some guys far worst than Luis Ortiz & Tyson Fury too.

Cute story kid. Wilder beat a old Ortiz. Shavers beat better fighters and lost to fighters way better than Fury. Shavers lands one punch against Wilder and he is done.Comment

Wilder was the much better athlete but Shavers was more skilled and had the much better resume'.Comment

It's a 50/50 fight. Whoever is first to land the big punch on the other's chin or temple is going down for the count. Shavers certainly fought better competition and nearly beat Holmes and some argue was robbed against Ali. He was just inconsistent and you never knew which version of Ernie was showing up that night. At his best, I think he beats Wilder.Comment

He took a much better punch than Shavers. So, therefore he had a better chin. Likewise, Wilder had better stamina too.
If you go back and watch Earnie Shavers fights. You will notice the times when he got his opponents hurt and couldn't put them away. He will often punch himself out and get himself knocked out or damn near knocked out.
Just go back and watch his bouts with Ron Lyle, Muhammad Ali, Larry Holmes II and Randall Tex Cobb. Lastly, Wilder stood 6 ft.7 in. tall with an 83 inch reach advantage. While Shavers stood only 6 ft.tall with a 79 inch reach.Comment
