I told you the difference in the other thread, no contracts have been presented to Morrell, Andrade, nor Charlo. Benavidez signed a 3 fight deal, and they are listed as options because they are all under Showtime and PBC, but the hope is to get the Cinnabon fight first, and if not, the options come into play.

That actually makes sense. Canelo's certainly not going to go out of his way to fight Morrell, and Munguía is easy pickings for any of the top guys at 168.Comment

At this point Munguia makes more sense, though I'd rather see Morrell. The Morrell fight is a great one but it could really use a little buildup. I'm no fan of marinating fights but Morrell hasn't but 9 pro fights and none against anyone of note. Benevidez gains very little with a win except among the hardcore fans and even many of them would express doubts about Morrell after the fight, instead of crediting Benevidez.Comment

He's campaigning at 168. Them's the rules - if you can make the weight it's legit.
Otherwise we can say Spence should fight at 154 or 160
Haney should fight at 147
Fundora should fight at HW - lol
case you haven't noted - boxing has weight divisions, not height divisions
me personally - I'd rather have same day weigh-ins with weigh-ins at fixed times leading up to the fight. 6 weeks, 3 weeks and 1 week - but it's an imperfect world.Comment

I don't mind Benavidez not wanting to fight Morrell right now because he gains nothing from it and this fight could be bigger down the line, but a fight against Munguia is just bad for the division.
There are other contenders at 168 that both he and Morrell could fight before eventually facing each other.Comment

What a very prudent choice? David Benavidez would make a lot more money fighting Munguia than he would Morrell. In addition, he is the easier and less risky of the pair of opponents too.Comment

It's therefore boxing is going extinct. You see no real athletes but names and money. You see youtubers making a lot of money in "boxing" and getting attention anywhere. It's therefore MMA is the real combat sport and is dominating the fans' audience. Boxing is out of style...Comment

Morrell is going in hard on David, it looks to me that David is getting the same duck narrative that Canelo is getting from him, its funny watching the round table where everyone is supposedly ducking someone. Thats a part of boxing Ive seen with every top guy over 50 years, even the greats Hearns Leonard were said to duck McCallum.Comment
