Not really, a least not the boxing I grew up with. This is the floyd legacy. Delahoya, Tito, Cotto, Morales, Barrera, and a bunch of elite fighters fought everyone. And I'm leaving the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's out.

Canelo's main purpose to be at the same level with SRR, Greb, Langford and Armstrong. We just gotta respect him.
Canelo's main purpose is to play it safe.

The guy has been feeding on mediocre talent for years, even his first belt was against a ww that he brought him in weight, and he, canelo missed the contract weight, he paid a little bit of money and that was it. Saunders, smith, yildrim, ryder, the same ryder that ran from Morell jr, they're domestic level fighters. He waited out ggg, fought Cotto who was on his last leg, Trout was legit, and the fight was close and judges didn't see it that way. He's path was chosen by dlh very carefully, you can say anything about Oscar, but he's smart and know his fighters limitations. He was nervous when he pitch him against Lara, he didn't have any choice because it was time to move up. A least he bought two judges. The second technician he fought, bivol, gave him another boxing lesson and was almost robbed. Do you need more?
I’m a fan of boxing not boxers. Morell hasn’t done enough to mean anything YET.
Look at all the BIG talk about Munguia and Ramirez . I knew Bivol would whip Ramirez. I also new we would see what Munguia really was. Morells no different except he hasn’t fought enough. Let’s see if they put him in there with anything else but tomato cans.

I'm thanking him. He changed boxing for the worst.

Not really, I was asking myself why they choose him. It wasn't the prey they usually hunt, young in his prime, a real Champion with some good names in his resume. I did some research and he didn't look like a world beater in his last two fights or so. But I knew he fights to the level of his opposition. I was ready to give him credit if he won fair and square. He loss and judges were ready to give him the victory. And believe me, if he were to fight him again, without any crazy demands, credit should he get.

He whipped Canelo period. He out sped him, out thought him and out lasted him.
I don’t see Benividas or Morrel jumping at an opportunity to fight ANY lite heavyweight or cruiser weight. I wonder why?
