Had he taken more risks and made bigger fights he would be worth much more at his age by now.
You clearly don't know what a "net worth" is....... I hate that I have to educate someone so that I can respond to them when you can simply use your WiFi connection to educate yourself..... But let me see if I can simplify it for you.....

Crawford was worth $8M a couple years ago......

You NET worth is not how much money you have. It is your value......Your ASSETS minus you LIABILITIES....... Assets are investments, cash on hand/savings, equity on homes/cars/etc.... Liabilities are are debt, loans, etc....

If Crawford jumps $2M in NET worth, that means he received a healthy sum. You have do understand these boxers, some of them TAKE CARE OF THEIR ENTIRE FAMILY. Not just their spouse and kids.

Let me also correct you. Crawford didn't become a top p4p fighter until 2017 when he became undisputed. That's not a decade and even with that...just because you are a top p4p guy doesn't make you worth more financially. Usyk who is currently in the top fight isn't worth more than EJ or Crawford. Same with Inoue.

If he took more risks?...... Do you even listen to yourself........How does a fighter become a 2x Lineal champion without taking risks....... Damn, I'm guessing you don't know what a Lineal champion is, huh?

Crawford was a free agent and no one was rushing to sign him and he is not a house hold name. One of this era best boxer but remains unproven with his mediocre competition.
Wow, there is some of the most silly response in this forum on this subject..... What have I stated that was "inside information?.....

You sound clueless talking about "no one was in a rush to sign him"....... How do you know that no one was interested? How do you know he was courting himself to be signed? Crawford took his control of his career and since then we have seen Bob Arum.....the individual who claim Crawford lost him money.....still try to work with him. We have seen Golden Boy on numerous times attempt to work with him. And we all know that PBC had a desire to work with him even before he announced he was done with Top Rank.

Spence and Bud aint the only guys guilty of it, but both men like living the life of a top fighter without the fighting part.
I guess who can blame them?

I called this the day that this fight was announced, that Spence would continue to look and find a way to get out of this fight.
The excuses that he used are well documented, and he is coming full circle and re-cycling and using them one by one again.
"I'm the A-side", "who has he fought?", "He has to fight when I say so, and take what I give him.", "blah, blah, blah"
Crawford has said little or nothing and there is no need, let Spence, PBC/Al Hayman, and Floyd Mayweather through Lenard Ellerbe, do all the talking about all this nonsense about why it has taken 5 to 6 years to get here.

Bud has chased this clown for far to long, and its time to call it a day.
Spence is at best a PBC, Hayman back yard champion who has fought no one but PBC fighters for the last 5/6 years.

So I say "Who has he fought?" Compared to Bud fighting undefeated fighters in multiple divisions, until a defeated, beltless Porter stepped up from PBC none of his "stable mates" wanted a piece, and Spence is the last PBC man standing with all their belts, and he still don't want none of Crawford.

Like Bud has already said, "I don't need Spence, he needs me".

It’s wild to say “all of his demands” while he had to finish his contract and sign with your agency to get the fight. Spence literally waited and fought pbc fighters until bud changed sides. It’s clear only one person had to capitulate and we know who it is

when you're the P4P #1, of course you would refuse to be the B-side

According to Forbes Crawford's net worth went up from $8M to $10M in the last calendar year. So, if you are worth 7-8 figures......WHY WOULD YOU ACCEPT A NO GUARANTEE contract.....especially being that EVERYONE else that Spence has fought have gotten at least that........

Y'all spend so much time trying to hate on that man that you don't realize how clueless y'all sound.....

There's a reason why THIS is the biggest match up since Floyd/Manny. Crawford isn't known due to his social media accounts (Jake Paul), or how many people who follow him (Ryan Garcia), or drama outside of the ring (Adrien Broner) or creating fake beefs to market fights (Teofimo Lopez) or Claiming everyone is avoiding him (Jaron Ennis).........Crawford's relevance in this sport is due to his results vs the opponents he faced........6x world title holder across 3 divisions. 2x Lineal Champ. 2x Fighter of the Year. ESPY Award Winner. Undisputed at 140lbs. EVERY OPPONENT he's faced in the last decade has either been stopped or at least had the ref giving them an 8 count........ You can't find a single active fighter not name Canelo who is more accomplished.........But you are pushing this notion that he's not worth what he's asking for? And YOU don't even know exactly what he's asking for.

This new wave of "boxing fans" who are actually Man Fans are weird. A man is putting his health and life on the line and is DOMINATING and to claim he isn't worth what he's asking for because you love the man he's trying to fight is laughable.

This will be Crawford's biggest stage vs Spence by far......... And for all the "options" Spence and his fans claimed he had, THIS match up is by far the biggest stage he was going to get as well........ And there's a reason for that......Both are worth the attention of the entire sport and supporters. Regardless of how you try to break down their careers. 2 of the top 5 fighters in the sport are facing off for the FIRST Undisputed Welterweight Champion in 4 belt era. And a solid claim at #1 Pound for Pound....... You can't max out any bigger than that.
Funny how Spence also got no gautantee but didn't complain about it.

                Only one person did.

That should tell you all you need to know about who really wanted the fight.

Nice try, but Spence said in the Ugas press conference that he was joking about the 80/20 and 70/30 and said he was gonna negotiate in good faith with Crawford after he gets passed Ugas, which is exactly what he did.

You can put the blame on Haymon, but never on Spence.

Spence is the one who made this fight happen. Not Crawford, not Haymon, Spence.

Both Crawford and Haymon were full of BS.

Haymon even tried to force Spence to fight Thurman but Spence stood his ground.

I won't accept any lies told about Spence

"I told Al I want Crawford or I'm not fighting"

He said this before the Ugas fight and guess what, he did exactly what he said, refused to fight anybody if it wasn't Crawford.

                  "Never means never!"

He said this when Al tried to make him fight Thurman, guess, what, he didn't budge and he didn't fight Thurman.

"Everybody knows the fight I want, I want Terence Crawford. It's the fight I want, its the fight everybody want! Terence I'm coming for that mtf belt!"

Gues what? Spence is coming baby!

Yawl can trie and spit lies with your snake tongues, but the TRUTH always come out, and it's coming out on July 29th baby!

Spence wins by demolition, body snatchiny, eye snatching, and KTFO!

You're free to recognize his win over Jeff Horn and feel the way you do.

Most actual fans don't have him anywhere near #1.

LOL, that is simple, nobody signed him. Berlanga which is a very hyped crappy fighter got more offers.

You must be confusing something. I believe that Bud is one of the bigger talents today. His career was wasted away by TR with promises of Pac and a rising Taylor fight that never materialized. He was paid handsomely for a Khan and Brook fight and he was not going backwards from there. He has no marquee name and the biggest name in his resume is a retiring Porter.

So what did I miss? I got tire of waiting for him to step up and then hiding behind negotiations. Same thing goes with Andrade. IF any of those two guys would had taken risks and won they would be in a much better position.
