Everyone knows Loma isn’t a dirty fighter, who’s he trying to fool?? The guy had 396 amateur fights and is a double Olympic champion and was the fastest 2 division champion in history. Why would he need to resort to dirty tactics to win fights? clearly he’s a highly skilled fighter. Way more of a complete fighter than Haney.

Even reverse psychology makes no sense. For Haney to consider fighting dirty he’d need to be comfortable up close and he’s just not, even remotely. He has zero inside game and gets clipped if he stays too long in the pocket as despite being skilled he’s not what i’d consider a natural. His movement is learnt and doesn’t flow like other fighters. It’s staccato and revolves around his jab. Not impressed by his combination punching at all. He’s nice and loose but his coordination is vaguely clumsy and it shows now and then particular in his defence up close.

Even an old Loma will exploit all that easily. Only reason he took a while with Lopez was due to Lopez’s fast twitch power which Haney hasn’t got. Haney is going to struggle to keep Loma at range and he’s going to get clipped up close as Loma had the skills to stop him clinching as much as his footwork and lateral movement up close is second to none apart from perhaps Inoui and Morrell at the moment and that’s only down to age. Loma inside the distance for me.
Dude can you stop mentioning his amateur record, no one cares because it has nothing to do with pro boxing, two different worlds.

I see it precisely the same way. Loma TKO 11 Haney.

Seems like a bit of gamesmanship by Devin to influence what the ref allows from Loma. I don't think Loma is dirty at all but all great fighters that know how to fight inside bend the rules a bit.

Fighters like Devin that can't fight inside interpret it as dirty but it's on you to be more well-rounded.

Utterly wrong on nearly every count. Amateur boxing has a massive amount to do with it. The amateurs give a lot of fighters their fundamentals and it’s where some fighters such as Ali and Ray Leonard learnt their craft. It’s true that some amateur styles don’t translate too well to the pros, however, that’s a weak argument against Loma who’s won belts in 3 divisions.

And on your other point, people who understand boxing do care as they understand all the above and you don’t which is why replies like yours look i’ll informed and just plain wrong to them.

not sure if you're conflating everything on purpose or not

Haney is NOT saying 'make it a dirty fight' - he is saying that Lomachenko is a dirty fighter

I wasn't around when NSB posters said that about Floyd. NOW NSB posters are saying that Haney is dirty with all his hugging - and that he is accusing Loma of being a dirty fighter to take the heat off of him when likely he tries to excessively clinch/hug Loma in this fight

Roll on the fight - all this pre-fight shit from supposedly adult fans is what cheapens boxing - too much yapping from fighters and fans - not enough boxing

In order for Devin to win this fight; All Haney has to do is take risks by moving forward, backing his man up and walking him down with his jab and power punches.

If he implements this strategy then he would completely shut Loma out because everyone knows that "The Matrix" cannot fight off the back foot and neither is he a counter puncher.

Lomachenko is not, & never has been, a dirty fighter. I genuinely get the impression that camp Haney are either (1) on something or (2) they think they gonna lose & they preparing some silly S**t
