You can’t dispute the point made- that posters have shifted when it comes to using dirty tactics to win a fight.

I don't know if Haney actually believes Loma is a dirty fighter or he's just trying to get in his head but it's a silly thing to do, especially considering A: Loma is NOT a dirty fighter, B: Haney IS a dirty fighter and C: Loma doesn't even know what you're talking about half the time.
I really hope Haney gets taught a lesson. I don't mind that he's a boring, defence first fighter, that's his style, fine but to call Lomachenko dirty is disrespectful and not even remotely accurate.

I’m going to go out on a limb here again and say that I think Loma wins this fight and makes it look easy in the process. Haney’s comments are so ridiculous it’s actually quite difficult to figure out the motive behind them as nothing really makes a huge amount of sense.
Everyone knows Loma isn’t a dirty fighter, who’s he trying to fool?? The guy had 396 amateur fights and is a double Olympic champion and was the fastest 2 division champion in history. Why would he need to resort to dirty tactics to win fights? clearly he’s a highly skilled fighter. Way more of a complete fighter than Haney.
Even reverse psychology makes no sense. For Haney to consider fighting dirty he’d need to be comfortable up close and he’s just not, even remotely. He has zero inside game and gets clipped if he stays too long in the pocket as despite being skilled he’s not what i’d consider a natural. His movement is learnt and doesn’t flow like other fighters. It’s staccato and revolves around his jab. Not impressed by his combination punching at all. He’s nice and loose but his coordination is vaguely clumsy and it shows now and then particular in his defence up close.
Even an old Loma will exploit all that easily. Only reason he took a while with Lopez was due to Lopez’s fast twitch power which Haney hasn’t got. Haney is going to struggle to keep Loma at range and he’s going to get clipped up close as Loma had the skills to stop him clinching as much as his footwork and lateral movement up close is second to none apart from perhaps Inoui and Morrell at the moment and that’s only down to age. Loma inside the distance for me.
