    Now why on God's green earth should Bivol turn down such an easy fight against Canelo? He's already beaten his ass once. He's gonna beat his ass some more. However, it's Alvarez' choice.

    Alvarez doesn't have to go this route. I don't like seeing him over matched no more than I like seeing him over matching all of these limited and overachieving opponents he likes to fight.

    As a boxing fan and not some racial tribalist; I prefer 50/50 competitive and even match ups. Therefore, the man he should fight is David Benavidez. That's more of a 50/50 fight than this one. He would at least have more than half a chance of defeating him.

    He has absolutely no chance of winning this one. I don't understand Canelo. What does he has to prove? He knows he can't win this fight. I believe he is only coming to this fight to lay down and lose.

Remember, Hearn works for Bivol, not the other way around, and as the fighter, Bivol can make demands from his promoter.
      That may be true but that still doesn’t change the fact that he has no leverage to force terms on Canelo.
      Even with the win it hasn’t changed Bivol’s spot much. He’s not a mainstream name and likely will never be.

        You think Bivol wants to fight Canelo at 168 to give him a chance

            I say, "Canelo's rematch with Bivol at 168, with Super Middle weigh belts on the line is the best fight for him and boxing by a 100 miles.

            Beterbiev for undisputed at 175 is the best fight for Bivol by a mile, but the implication is that it's not available. Nor is 168 vs Canelo, by implication.

            It is clear that Canelo doesn't want to risk the loss at 168 because a loss to Bivol at that limit is more damaging to his rep than a loss at 175 which can always be brushed off as not being his real weight class. Bivol obviously would prefer 168 as he risks no belt and stand to gain 4 belts and super kudos.

            I think maybe the fight won't happen.

              Maybe he intends to use the same ring size he had for the Ryder fight.

                You're a special kind of dumb. What does any of what you stated have to do with the discussion. Just put on your helmet and wait for the short bus with finger paint and drool bibs.

                  Bivol at 168 is the best option for his legacy for many reasons.

                  1. The Beterbiev fight looks impossible to make with the promotions plus the WBC discriminating against Russian citizens.

                  2. If option 1 cant happen being undisputed at 168 is the way to go for legacy. He also wants a reason/hunger to train again for Canelo after already beating him to keep his 175lb title.

                  3. Not being talked about is its a high risk fight to fight Canelo be it 175 or 168 because of the judges. Canelo only has to be 2% better and he wins by robbery. Look at the scored cards of the first Bivol fight, the Mayweather fight, the GGG fights. He has the Judges in his pocket. Thats also the reason Canelo wants this fight bad he knows he only has to be a little better to get a decision win.

                    Based on what I saw . I think canelo needs to fight benavidez n if he don't take to much damage and wins then try his shot at 175 bivol . He has a better chance of beating benavidez at this point of his career.

                      Let me get this straight:

                      Canelito doesnt wanna risk his 168 belts (the only things making him relevant);

                      while also attempting to rob again bivol's 175 belt (which wouldnt be that hard, canelito just needs to look more decent than a toddler that he is during the last fight);

                      and have a shot at undisputed there with beterbiev..

                      did i get the plan right? Lmao
